wtf, when did Sky get hot...dat smile...
coulson keeping secrets from sky is going to alienate her. I really hope she doesn't go to Ward...It feels really really stupid that they're hiding things from her considering they're the ones who injected her with the same alien juice.
Also episode 2 Talbet said something about a senator with deep pockets. They've hinted at Ward's family a few times being high profile, I wonder if it's his father or brother or something...

All I could think this episode was that Ming-na Wen is 50 years old. hot damn....

i'm really not digging how Skye became so overcompetent in a single season transition.

She was always an OP hacker and she has since spent months training directly under May. I think the only unrealistic thing she has done is the parachuting without any experience. Even then I always apply comic book logic to Agents of Shield anyway.

It's not so hard to shoot people with a high power sniper rifle. That bullet will fly straight at whatever she's aiming at for quite a distance before dropping. Especially that short distance in the show.
Besides, it's comic books made into a show ffs, quit applying real world logic, and apply marvel logic instead.

Was a fun enough episode, I just can't figure out why they put May in a nightgown. Like, where did they get it and why did they decide on that.
I mean it obviously doesn't matter at all, but I find it pretty amusing to think about.

At the end of last season she was still going through training, and she was still insanely incompetent outside of "muh hax0r skills".
Beginning of this season she's become mini-May.

I'm just glad they didn't actually make Talbot Hydra. That would have been the dumbest twist.

I didn't like this weeks episode, it felt akward and the whole May/Coulson stuff isn't worth an entire episode. The rest of the cast was just filler this week and the main storyline was kinda inconsequental. Oh and why didn't Ward just get away when the ship lost power? He just became a lazy plotdevice now.
Edit: For some reason I thought Ward was on the bus, silly me. Still a lazy plotdevice though

The Bus was in a hangar in Miami, their base is elsewhere. It was just the plane that lost power, not their whole operation.

It was a slip she wore under her sequined dress.

She "snipe shot" someone from like, 30 feet away. I don't have any shooting skills but that doesn't seem to be an 'expert' shot. She has a scope n stuff, wind probably isn't that big of a deal from that distance etc? idk. Definitely seems like something she could have trained for in the "vague couple of months" between seasons.
Skye(haha)diving is about balls, not training. She's been doing morning meditation stuff with May probably to stay calm.

The shot isn't hard. I'm more interested by the stealth involved in not getting caught/killed.

Skye(haha)diving is about balls, not training. She's been doing morning meditation stuff with May probably to stay calm. It was easily more than 30ft, also it's not just about pointing and shooting, there's a lot of recoil with snipers, not to mention the mental preparation to take the shot. Not to mention the shooting range, shooting close grouping without increase in heart rate? that takes a lot of training. Remember how she was just an incompetent princess throughout all of last season that needed ward/crew to rescue her? Now she's willing to take things into her own hands and stuff. It was obviously intended by the writers, but it seems really sudden without any training montage.

I guess I kind of agree with you, but things like them making scenes turn out a certain way just to be more funny rather than actually follow some type of 'realism' (ie when Garrett lived in season finale so they could shoot him with that giant gun) bothers me more than this does :p

She was not nearly as incompetent as you make her out to be last season, and she is not nearly as competent as you make her out to be this season. It's really not nearly as bad as you make it out to be.
