Also they never had him kill the dog. I'm certain there's some redemption coming. | ||

Except that the plane was presumably flying at a couple of hundred miles an hour, so hitting the water is instant death... but trust a tv series to spin it that way. | ||

(yes that's absolutely stupid) This may also explain why most people went mad after getting in contact with it: they couldn't handle the data flow or the process of healing was overriding some of their basic behaviour with alien data. most likely (as it shouldn't be useless data) it is either a way to contact the home planet and/or a device to return home. to speculate further: this might be useful if the alien was a genetically engineered soldier who could survive most severe injuries. If his brain is damaged/needs to be regenerated, at least he could send a message or return home. | ||
