Tossing the guys out the plane most likely was the best way to save them. On the plane they would be dead but now they in some sealed container that most likely has flotation devices attached to it. Also they never had him kill the dog. I'm certain there's some redemption coming. | ||

(yes that's absolutely stupid) This may also explain why most people went mad after getting in contact with it: they couldn't handle the data flow or the process of healing was overriding some of their basic behaviour with alien data. most likely (as it shouldn't be useless data) it is either a way to contact the home planet and/or a device to return home. to speculate further: this might be useful if the alien was a genetically engineered soldier who could survive most severe injuries. If his brain is damaged/needs to be regenerated, at least he could send a message or return home. | ||
