I believe it's generally called "group stages". One that is rather important, given that those in the lower group get to play one game to decide who goes out. 1) GSL format.
2) Newbee and OG.
Bo1 lower bracket might be scary, but end of the day not many upsets have actually happened there.

If they advance, it will be a huge upset, nobody gave them a slight chance to make in the first 2. EHOME didn't take them at all seriously in g1 and were badly shaken for g2
they had one good fight in g2 and then just rolled over and died, so they're at least showing signs of trying to get it together
meanwhile, MVP clearly did their homework and came in prepared to give 100%, and it showed
they're probably going to last as long as their energy does, or until they face up against a team that can pull off a proper defensive style

Recent results goes to Fnatic and it has been Fnatic for quite a while now I believe. But on mechanic skill level MVP has the potential to surpass Fnatic. MVP looks like they are coming together as a team more now. I say both MVP and Fnatic are about tier 2 unless this tournament proves me wrong. I need to double check but Fnatic still has a lead over MVP in terms of head to head games (again I need to double check), both teams are capable of occasional upsets in international games and both teams do really stupid shit that gives them the ability to either reach the bottom end of top 8 or worse. So I agree, I do think Fnatic is probably better but I don't think anyone undervalues MVP or Fnatic given the stupid shit they've done in major events in the past. I agree. tier 2 is about where I would put them too. But most seem to think they are solidly in tier 3. This MVP roster probably has the most potential. First time as an all Korean speaking roster in a very long time. I think they trained their younger talents with their 2 roster policy well. Using Jerax and NutZ to help them understand how to play against better teams worked out well I think. However, many players are playing out of their comfort roles. If they get more use to it, low end tier 1 teams better watch out.

real talk, this is an excellent clinkz pick
agressif will be able to win lane with the hero, and it allows him to transition very comfortably into a map-dominating midgame role

CDEC wants to give Secret a taste of the Clinkz medicine.

A loss in series is a very big deal in these group stages, so I'm pretty certain it wasn't them goofing around. Ehome just played like shit and not like the grand team everyone was predicting them to be coming into this.

Everyone except for me, that is. I believe I did observe that their middle player is shit and that it's going to be taken advantage of by teams that know what they're doing.

they just generally have the strategic and psychological stability to stay in the series and pull out a win
2-1 EG is a legend at this point

This is obviously a Puppey strategy.
Won last game with this? Do it again.

"give me spec im sure we win" heh
hehehe

pretty sure the advantage here is very strongly to cdec, based on draft alone
if they force bad fights before bkb on clinkz, they're going to lose tho
|
i thnk cdec needs to maintian a faster tempo than secret wants to win this game
thsi involves fcking with enigma a lot

picking Spectre into disruptor, wtf
