Fuck, just ask me about Chinese Dota in case you don't know what you're talking about

Favorite Chinese team? Favorite Chinese player? I must know.

Favorite Chinese team: the one that practices, which from the looks of it, is none of them

Favorite Chinese player: same
I think you said nearly 3 years ago, that Korea would dominate China after 2 years.

I don't remember saying that but I did say they were going to have 1-2 internationally competitive teams and people didn't believe me.
You argued that on jD.

Do they have 1-2 international competitive teams? They come out of the weakest region with 1 team.

This is a nice step though. Good showing from MVP.

I don't think I did. At best I said, "were Dota 2 to become popular in Korea, THEN they will destroy all other regions."

Which it didn't.

outplayed I guess? I mean honestly there's nothing much else to say, there's weren't really any gimmicks, MVP drafted standard MVP drafts and had better map movements.

What happened is that they gave Invoker and OD, 2 of the best mid heroes in this patch to the best mid player in china (in terms of MMR).

First game EHOME had a questionable draft, MVP punished them hard for it. Second game was very clean play from MVP and they read EHOME well.

ehome might still wake up and have some good games, it's not like other teams have never had one bad day or one bad series. or even a bad group stage. don't write them off totally yet

What a surprise, MVP 2-0 Ehome (Total stomp), Either Ehome didn't took 'em seriously or MVP are getting better, will see in the winner's game.

If they advance, it will be a huge upset, nobody gave them a slight chance to make in the first 2.

If Korea got half the interest that NEXON league was suppose to create Korea probably would have or even a quarter of the player pool that Korean LoL has.

I'm pretty sure I showed this five months ago, with regards to why the best Chinese players weren't at the top of their own leader board: http://www.dota2.com/leaderboards/#china, while Koreans were.

At the time, you guys brought out all sorts of excuses about top players in China only playing in house, etc.

But hey look, it matters.

ehome ? wat happen ?

MVP is just alot better than people give them credit for. Definitely 2nd best in SEA behind Fnatic

They are waaay better than Fnatic imo, lol.

Recent results goes to Fnatic and it has been Fnatic for quite a while now I believe.
But on mechanic skill level MVP has the potential to surpass Fnatic.
MVP looks like they are coming together as a team more now.

I say both MVP and Fnatic are about tier 2 unless this tournament proves me wrong. I need to double check but Fnatic still has a lead over MVP in terms of head to head games (again I need to double check), both teams are capable of occasional upsets in international games and both teams do really stupid shit that gives them the ability to either reach the bottom end of top 8 or worse.

So I agree, I do think Fnatic is probably better but I don't think anyone undervalues MVP or Fnatic given the stupid shit they've done in major events in the past.

MVP has two modes: where they're really good, and where they don't qualify for the event

Fnatic is more consistently mid-tier

EHOME's offlaner (Void) barely did anything, Lifestealer was Lifestealer (aka useless) and MVP had solid map movements.
