Thanks for the tourney, was so great that I feel compelled to play dota now.
Also I've watched a lot of sc2 tourneys but nothing ever came close to Navi-DK, first navi ig and navi LGN games for me. Goosebumps, screaming at the monitor, tension throughout all the games, v1lat's insanity, the whole nine yards. It was awesome. But if it was just two Chinese teams I know I would not find the games as interesting (not having anyone to root for takes a lot out). I just think without NAVI this tourney wouldnt not have been even half as good because it would lack the drama/story/underdog/foreigner hope aspects.

Still, so odd that the game i know so little about got me more excited than sc2. I even had a long ass dream about hanging out with NAVI after yesterdays games (it was bad ass, dream Dendi was constantly hanging out with me=P)!

Gratz to IG, gj Valve, davai Navi, thanks again

edit:
here's a fun clip, NAVI after winning vs LGD, including the crowd reaction and the gangnam style dance

So I'm asking anyone who's followed the dota1 scene (particularly the chinese scene), have these games been the most exciting tournament games in dota history?

I can't remember any tournament with as much pressure (much more than the first international) and oh my god moments.

No single tournament, no, though in terms of plays there are plays that rank up there with what happened here.

East vs. West was and is the greatest match up, I think, in eSports. Whether East is China, Korea, Japan, SEA. Whether West is NA, EU, CIS.

The single greatest play in Dota 1 for a East vs. West match up was performed by DTS - from which Dendi came - against Ehome 2010 in WDC 2010.

Go watch that.

It was the equivalent of what Na'Vi pulled out against iG in Game 2.

I'd say it was far more impressive than that.

Dota 1 cast by Tobi.

LMAO, Tobi used to pronounce Dendi as "Den-Die"
theres tons of micro and multi unit control in dota

I didn't know the Chinese scene at all before this, but LGD definitely made me a fan of theirs, for their insane run this tour!

I do think that a lot of the price money is going to their organisations, but I dont think that there is a chinese gaming association that has the power to take their money.

GG IG! WP!
NAVI proved that thay are on the same level as top chinese teams. Still the only western team that can boast that.

So TI2 is finally over. I predict a great shuffle in teams. Teams will also disband and some teams will be formed.

iG is owned by i think the richest man in chinas son or something like that, rumors has it that they actually double up the teams winnings which in this case means they pay the players one extra million USD for winning.

I wish for the next international to have a bit more qualifiers, I like the whole invitation thing and all but only having 2 qualifiers was a bit of a downer.

Oh man just woke up to find out about the finals results. Well, in the end, it's quite tough for David to beat Goliath twice. Congratulations to the iG guys, but meh... Go Na'Vi now more than ever :D.

I'm actually a bit fucking disgusted about the difference between the conditions of these guys and what western teams have to take for salaries and such... I feel like we just witnessed a tourney between amateurs and pros .

I think it may be a missunderstanding of another agreement they have with their team as far as i know their salary doubles when they win.
