Can't right-click after EB until it wears out, and it's not like Brood has high AGI growth. so you right click before then finish with EB + shotspiders (probably a 500 damage nuke). personally im skeptical of this build since the main attractiveness of orchid is to lock down heroes from using their spells and orchid is almost 1000 gold cheaper than ethereal, but i havent tried it anyway Doesn't make sense that way. Instead of spending 4900 for an Ethereal Blade which will increase your nuke damage by 120 (300*.4), you could get a Dagon for 2805. Obviously the +40 AGI increase from EB is nice, but it just doesn't seem good at all as a finisher. Edit: forgot the EB damage... still though I'm not a fan. Orchid helps you lock an enemy down, and BKB helps you chase them unimpeded. If you're not intending to use EB until the finish, you can't as effectively somebody with any sort of disable from getting away. it's also +10 to all stats. of course it's situational, but i think theres times and places for that kind of item

Having Robes of the Magi/Sobi Masks/Oblivion Staves doesn't sort you out quite as well as having the SR active in terms of laning phase mana usage.
In any serious situation, straight BKB is still going to be the better option, but I mean, pretty much every E-Blade user has a better option for serious games, Morphling included.

you usually skip soul ring if you're going orchid first i mean you can still pick one up but generally it's not necessary or recommended the double sobi (and probably a rob) covers most of the mana, and the buildup to oblivion staves is really nice you don't get to spam quite as much but its generally enough

I actually liked the Morphling build (even though at this time Morph was on his way out) where I think it was Bottle -> Skadi -> EB

BKB removes the ethereal part, so you can EB spawn spiderlings, bkb and rightclick I believe.( in teamfights, you can do this with manta too)
realistically there are many better options.

realistically there are many better options. Yes, but this doesn't help with "solo-killing" power. You're not going to pop your BKB charges to kill a warding Crystal Maiden.

Why isn't Morphling/Spectre/Void used more at the competitive level?

Heavy push meta killed pure hard carries. They take too long to get scary. Void was used in void+4, but once you've seen how to counter the all-in nature of the strat, it kinda crumbles (see 4gl winning like 5 games, and then vanishing from sight) players have also gotten very good at mitigating non all-in chronospheres (venge swap out, long duration disables like shackle etc)
Morph can be potent mid game, decent nukes etc. But folds kinda hard to silences. Needs a moderately expensive core to get going, but less pure late game than the others.
Tl;dr they take too long to get going in super fast. More bans and a slight slowing down of the game might make morph see more play, void will always see some, spec needs supreme turtling and the right environment, hard to make her work.

This.
I could not last hit for the life of me with it on. Turning it off was just better all around for me. Try turning it off and doing the A/S trick. Very useful early on when you need to get the VERY last hit off to get it.

pushing is not a new meta, its just the fact, that teams abuse the new dota2 engine, where neutrals/creeps/minons have far better pathing and deal farm more damage in a result.
easy example: prophet/brood - those treants/spiderlings do not more or less damage on the paper compared to dota1, but they do ingame, cause of the new pathing. this also means that you can just a-klick with a bunch of minons and they will automatically get the best damage possible out if ot, that was NOT the case in dota1. you still had to contol them inbetween, when they blocked eachother and so on.
so its not a new meta, its just to effective. the thing with hardcarrys is, that they are the only one on that team who deals a significant amount of damage, while they are in need of really heavy farm. pushers like prophet just grow stronger much faster, just by leveling up. unfortunatly, you can silence/stun/CC them too easy, too.
but how do you outplay a guy who pushes a lane, while he is at the opposite side of the map? you dont, and as long as there arent enough vialbe "anti-push" champs for high level matches, this will allways be a thread.
i guess the shadow deamon realease is a reaction on this recent development of push strategies

Someone's been reading what kuroky thinks.
Push has been being buffed for the past 6-8 months by icefrog, consistenly. Hard carries have been taking more and more indirect nerfs over the same period of time. Both dota 1 and 2 are push. Feed the carry used to be the dominant strat, then push took over.
So, yeah, push isn't new, but it sure as fuck isn't only dota 2.

pushing isnt the dota1 metagame is it ? at least not from the games I've seen
and also morphling is a very hard carry, he's more lategame than spectre since he can splitpush amazingly with ult and bot's
he isnt a midgame hero

Not denying that, but what I meant was he has a much higher early and mid presence than spec and void, meaning that he can start contributing earlier if the shit hits the fan. You ideally want him to be farming, but he has two nukes including a stun. His nuke is also above average damage and allows him to chase. That you're saying his power comes from split pushing says a lot. He does carry hard though.
Also Dota 1? Lycan, sylla - top picks and bans, both push oriented carries. It's only recently that it's started to love awY I think - but I've not been focusing that much on dota1 recently tbh, I might be a little behind - but push was certainly taking root for a long time.
My point was that it's not purely a dota 2 thing, but rather an aspect of the game as a whole.

how do you play beastmaster on the off-lane? skill build and how to adjust your playstyle etc

I got DC'd from a game and now got a leave because of it. Fucking leavers queue sucks.
How long until this goes away?

24 hrs if you only abandoned twice in the same day. Dunno if it goes up more if you leave more than two times in a 24hr period.

Hmmm...I had 6 leaves and don't think I got put into low priority with my 7th. I'll have to check when I get home.

So I have to ask:
How do I Quas/Exort Invoker? There's not much info out there as far as I can tell, as most guides and shit are about Quas/Wex. I really want to try out this Exort shit now though.
