In the past, most people were fine saying he was terribad even when he was actually playing brilliantly but now we have the opposite problem thanks to him being on a winning team and casters finally noticing how good he is rather than giving him the "Xboct analysis", i.e. mocking pros who are way beyond the level of the casters criticising them precisely because they're not good enough to understand why a good play is good even if it looks questionable.

The basic procedure is: farm creeps until past 20-30 mins. Then ask the question "Can we fight yet?" If the answer is: No, then give up towers and farm more creeps. Usually the enemy gets pickoffs, map control, and so more money. So Secret has to retreat further and farm more creeps. Then they sit in base, until they're put out of their misery. Such weird Dota. Two losses against Vega, the exact same story. Envy never fights, only does PvE dota.

Envy does this thing in pubs too. It's basically Dota a la Black. The basic procedure is: farm creeps until past 20-30 mins. Then ask the question "Can we fight yet?" They took 1st rosh, then Puppey and w33 got caught under a ward bottom lane, EE tp'd in and they tried to fight and lost all 5. Suddenly game was hard and impossible to fight without aegis really. They got 2nd rosh, tried to fight again, didn't work. Idk what sort of fighting you are expecting. 2nd game they lost the laning phase, they lost control of their own jungle, had no hope of skirmishing at all really. Again they tried for it a few times, never ended well. And if we talk in general, sure Secret has had their share of lategame strats where they just dodge and farm with Ember+Mag or something, but they've also had plenty of games where they fight consistently. Depends on the lineups and how the game goes.

First game just got off to a bad start and relied on execution which didn't happen. Not much you can do with that except draft differently or play better. I didn't see enough of the second game to comment. Envy is exceptionally strong at playing from behind, so perhaps that's what you're talking about. Sometimes you're way behind and playing with a 5% chance of winning and you just have to stall and stall and stall and hope for an opportunity. It's arguable that Secret does draft with a stall strategy in mind from the start too often, but if they draft an early line up (and they did that today) and then get behind early, what are they supposed to do?

The team with the weaker early game draft is forced to play passively and hang back, resulting in boring uneventful games.

last time they played online was summit 4 first round in october iirc (lost 2-1 to empire), before that was WCA qualifier in september so it's not far fetched to think it might contributed a little to how bad they played the last 2 series they looked kinda rusty and not as coordinated
