Or a good way to minimize schedules being broken. But it's a really bad way in a fairness perspective. Caters speedy strats which favors certain teams. Plain bad. But schedules are in check.

No. You check how fast a game ended. The one with the shortest game time wins the tie. You can do it in many ways. Two ways they could do it here since it is a 2 team tie with 1-1 results. 1. Check the series between the two teams and whichever won their game the fastest won the series and thus the tie. 2. Check total time of all (won) games played. The one with shortest time played won the group.
The reasoning behind time rules is that on LAN you might not have time for tiebreakers but still want a format that could allow it. So you need something to separate teams. Then you have time, kills and similar in game data to go by. Time says how much you dominated in games and thus is a tiny indicator of which team that won. Using kills would force teams to extend the game to rack up kills and hope opponent doesn't gg out.
Another way to solve this has been to literately flip a coin, which is basically the only other alternative once you are in a tiebreaker situation at LAN.

Next against the winner of Team Dilecom (Peruvian stack) and Romanian team (Bone7, Arise, Comewithme + 2).
I wonder why Ad Finem didn't try to partecipate this tournament, easy 400.000$ (if not $800.000) assured for them :p.

I agree it is strange. Maybe they missed it or one of their players had something outside of the game stopping them from joining the open qualifier. http://wiki.teamliquid.net/dota2/World_Electronic_Sports_Games/2016/Europe/South-Eastern_Europe
I don't think they thought it was easy money at the time of the qualifiers though. Were some strong NA stacks that did not make it due to the VISA issues. AD Finem didn't have their huge break out performance either.

semifinals reached, now they should face the first decent team, TnC, they're the same top8 TI minus DeMoN and eyou, so let's hope for some good games
|
Limmp is carrying this team so hard, considering how much better bulldog + akke than handsken + jonas is, full respect to him.

Exciting Alliance games once again! :D
edit: omfg that double toss
|
they are losing game1 so far. your opponent has a much better late game, u pick centaur, vengful spirit for aggression, centaur goes safe build and farm, vengful spirit constantly die before fight.
|
yea, sad to say but was expecting this, first "decent" team (not even that strong) and we get outplayed hard...
|
this is a tier 2 team or maybe tier 2-3 team, their best players were gone. every caster sit there were saying Alliance had the better draft, until they found out alliance unable to play aggression game.
|
Considering these games vs tnc, I take back what I said about top 3. Not to discredit TNC anything, but if they cant put up a fight vs TNC then I dont know. What the hell just happened. It was a damn roll over that's what happened.
Edit: Loda getting caught like that in the last fight is just... I dunno..

this team has 0 chance to qualify for Kiev or TI7... that's it, over.
I hope with all my heart Bulldog reconsider his retirement and comes back... and Loda maybe should start thinking that the time to step back has come. Then, i don't want to see Badsken (and Jonas) ever again.
|
I'd love to see a completely fresh roster, but I cant see the names that should play with Alliance... Rough times.

Just imagine what an hell of a team could be:
1. Limmp 2. Bulldog 3. s4 4. Zai/EGM 5. Pieliedie

let's back to reality, just forget about winning anything with this lineup.

Then, i don't want to see Badsken (and Jonas) ever again. to be honest, loda didn't play that bad in both games. In game1, i was so mad when i saw loda couldn't find farm and meanwhile centuar was farming venguard unable to commit any aggression. In game2, i just forget about winning after seeing that disaster play from oracle and batrider. even bulldog in stream said that batrider was panic and should go dagger first instead of drum.

Lacklustre drafting into aimless in game plans. I am not sure who would captain that in game. Also tink Limmp is a much better mid than bulldog. Don't think Bulldog could come back without a solid 2 months of practice on a role.
Game 2 Loda had a few team fights without getting off ulti. Even if you don't hit perfectly it is great for zoning. More the ES playing great than Loda playing badly though.
