Why'd Bulldog join a tier2 team when he's crushing with his stream? it's not tier2, it's tier3 with this NIP package. only Limpp getting stronger so far.

Yeah I mean Alliance=Loda Loda=Tier2/3 player that will struggle to attract top ones There's probably more of a chance of Limpp leaving than Loda finding a top player replacement for anyone he kicks. Maybe it's time to kick EGM as well and make Alliance a team for new pubstar talent with little expectations?

So 2 days until WESG. Alliance among top 3 teams there. If they don't end among the top teams here something is seriously wrong.

Wesg group play bo1? If that's the case we could easily screw up. I hope for a clear route to finals and a win vs Ukraine if they actually plan to make progress and climb to t1...

Then I think we got a good chance for top 1 in the grp play.

Of to a good start today. Hope they keep the level of play this high or higher and don't relax because they faced teams that might be the worst in the group.

horde has a rough start , come on akke !

gj for day 1, even if the teams were really bad, hope they can keep these results

Looking good so far watching the games VS Duobao. For sure it's mostly unknown opponents (and probably by far the easiest group) however Alliance is the only team with a 100% win rate. Hope they rule their 3 last games!

Cant help to feel that if they dont make top 3 they really need to chance players if they wanna get somewhere. These games are really NOT tense. But i gotta give em, the prize pool makes it exciting nonetheless.
Edit: without the money it's such a high risk low reward tournament. I dunno, having a hard time analyzing this.
|
Yeah I actually hate that kind of prize pool spread. Reminds me that one IEM in SC2 where the winner had $100k and the second $0. Makes me so mad.

Alright they lost the only game I saw entirely...

i'd say top 2... come on, teams are really bad (or at least those in Alliance's group).
This loss against duobao is already worrying me :/... meanwhile, Akke is out

Yeah it's just if they meet the winner early 3rd place is just as likely as 2. So that's why I said top 3. Also there are 3 contenders I feel. A, c9 and team dendi. Which makes 3rd place quite possible, but still forgivable considering alliances state. Anything less tho...

Anyone managed to find a tiebreaker ruling for the groupstage?

nah, team ukraine is plain bad, there's 0 synergy among members, they have no captain, and i think they didn't even made it out of the group, i see A, c9, Infamous and TNC teams that can do something, maybe also 1 random chinese team.

There was money in the qualifiers, the 9:th onwards got their prices in qualifier.
Are we sure Alliance got first place in the group?
