Just after ESL One Manila, Valve has just announced the invites for the third and last major before The International.
It is also worth to take note that this major has only 1 qualifier winner per region.
Open qualifiers will be hosted by FaceIt and ESL.

lgd over NB lol The team that has a 75% wr in china and is super dominant gets shoved aside for a team barely above 50% just because of xiao8 lol
|
12 invites eh, fucking bloodbath qualifiers lmao
and seriously? LGD?
|
No Empire invite? I guess they are a fav to win the bracket but I really thought they would get the nod after how they have been playing
|
Invites seem fine for the most part, but I'm not familiar with the Chinese scene so I don't know why LGD over Newbee is so controversial.

Europe qualifier oh boy
Edit: wait, 1 qualifier winner for each region? EHOME. VG. oooooooooh boy

Yeah idk about his LGD over Newbee invite
but i suppose they invited LGD since they placed 3rd in starladder while newbee didn't even join a single international tournament in the same timeperiod

12 invites is literally killing esports

We are officially BACK, ladies and gents. No more quals for Navi.

NA : DC
EU : 100% qualifier win rate Synderwin
China : Newbee
Sea : Miniski
EASIEST QUALIFIER PREDICTIONS EVER
|
|
I think 10 invites cutting lgd and na'vi and doing the ti5 qualifier system would be a lot better than 12 invites and 1 team from each region

Sounds reasonable.. but 6.87 might change things up ever so slightly.

I was hoping for less invites not more...
Newbee over LGD is a joke. LGD only played starladder because they were invited. Meanwhile Newbee won qualifiers und chinese tournaments.
