Hero MMR is actually pretty significant. A player playing his/her best hero may have 1000MMR point difference in their ability to play the hero compared to their worst hero. Using this in tandem with the overall MMR of a player should only make the MMR adjustments more precise.


Are ban lists incoming for private lobby games?

If Blizzard put 1/10 the effort into SC2 that Valve puts into Dota 2, I'd be ecstatic. Congrats guys, it looks amazing. I'm super jealous.

Seeing as they said they won't be rolling it out of beta until post TI5, it shouldn't be.

Are they actually using hero MMR for matchmaking? I'm not clear on that from what they showed.

Could just be an interesting value that they give you

no. i'm almost sure the hero mmr thing is just another take on their old "1 out of 10 hero performance bar" they used but replaced.

(it used that the bar or whatever rating you would receive would be relative to other players around your mmr but they scrapped the idea and made it so that it just compared how good they think you are with a hero in comparison to your other heroes)

Custom games is the make or break shit to attract a huge player base. They better not mess that shit up like SC2 UI does.
