I've been playing a lot the last two days again to try and get a good feel for 2.0 and I have nothing really else to add. I'm not sure on the BoA change, that still seems awful to me. However, they're finally going in an appropriate direction. Loot 2.0 isn't enough to 'save' the game for me or to get me to play long term but at least the game is improving. I sure hope they add ladders, meaningful endgame, pvp, and continue to design unique build creating legendaries.
The patch hasn't made me order d3ROS and I'm still not sure if I will, but with the direction they seem to be going maybe in another year or so I'll be able to play D3 in a way similar to how I always envisioned.
edit: is there a TL guild formed yet now that the patch is live?

It is hardcore, so caution is better than starting out too high and getting too much for you to handle. Just as an example I leveled up a DH yesterday and when I hit 60 I had 100k health,350 all resist, and 30k dps, and had no problems on hard whatsoever. My wizard is something like 130k dps, 700 all resist, and 80k health and can do master pretty easily, but I haven't tried torment yet since I was concentrating on my DH.

So guys, since Magic find is gone, BUT old magic find items are still working, whats preventing me from buying the MF items from the AH and be ahead of everyone else? (Especially on low levels of the game)
thanks

thanks This blue response has way more information than I could post, so just read this, short answer is that magic find is not nearly as effective as it used to be: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/10895540027?page=2#24

If I preorder the physical version of RoS (from amazon for example) do I still get the wings, or do you have to preorder through battle.net?

If you pre-order Reaper of Souls at a retail store—either a physical standard edition or physical Collector's Edition—be sure to redeem your Reaper of Souls game key via your Battle.net account on or before 11:59 PM PST on March 31, 2014

I've played a lot during the last days, and I'm also really enjoying it. Especially leveling up a new character is fantastic, you're finding decent upgrades several times per hour. The smart drops are a bit overtuned, there's nothing wrong about finding GOOD items for other classes. The balance changes they made in 2.0.1 are okay, especially wizard and DH feel awesome. The barb is a whole new class now, and after some experimentation, I managed to find a new build for torment I and it's fun again. (my gear was completely centered around the WW build, and it's kinda crappy post-patch.)
I'm really looking forward to ROS, it seems the guys at Blizzard have learnt their lesson. As I'm a casual player, I'm going to have tons of fun with the game - for months at least.

I have played now for maybe 4hours to see what the new patch brought The gameplay still feels..dull
Every class has its "collect resource". Barbarian hits with his sword to get rage Monks hit with his hands to get spirit and so on
And they all do mediocre damage. While the resource spells do high dmg.
One problem is the resource spells are so boring to use overall.
It feels...slow. Overall, the gameplay. Anyone else feels the same?
Just went to act 1 on a harder difficulty. The game rebooted after like 7min. Overheat i think.
But i played for hours before in other places, it didnt reboot. 3h+ Had this problem before with d3, probably my comp. Or if anyone think its d3, let me know

The new item system seems to take away your DPS and give much more EHP. I've been playing basically from scratch (got my only char to 60 in HC before patch 2.0, didn't even farm 1 mil gold with her) and after 3 evenings I'm at 70k DPS and 2.2m EHP, that on a Wizard. So you start slowly at hard-master (expert is kinda pointless) to get all that gear, and once you get to 1mil EHP you can safely transition to torment.
I'm currently doing torment 2, would go higher if I had the damage. EHP is enough, never triggered Unstable Anomaly and wasn't really even close. I can even afford to have bullshit skills to do the achievements.
The bad news is that APOC is so much harder to get in 2.0. It only rolls 3-5 duh.

Wizard and DH don't feel slow at all. The DH has gained some survivability, which makes farming higher difficulty levels much easier. On the other hand, the barb is kinda sluggish now, at least for me. From what I've seen, Blizzard is trying to balance the game around the new high lvl legendaries, which will come in RoS. I've seen a lot of items in the beta, which will allow you to choose a resource spender as your primary skill. (e.g. elemental arrow for DHs.)
Concerning the tech issues: They've overhauled the graphics, but I think the problem is at your end. I'm running the game on high details with full effects and my graphics card never gets hotter that 50°C.

Has there been any word whatsoever about our gold reserve being reset in ROS?
A new player could collect some million gold on their own. While others have gotten help from streaming viewers and whatnot to collect billions. That's a pretty big difference that might schew things like enchanting.
So is there any point in buying 500 million gold from the RMAH before it closes?

So is there any point in buying 500 million gold from the RMAH before it closes? Its a single player game. Who gives a fuck how many gold someone else has Oo

That said, I have 300M laying around (was flipping back in the days...) that I will hold onto, in case. But I expect them to do nothing but collect dust in my chest. On that note, is it possible to give gold to other players? Like other players in my clan?

Wizard felt the best of them all i tried, will probably try my dh in an more fair difficulty before i judge him completely.
But in general, barbarians and monks resource spenders feels so slow. Like no pace in it...
