and why are you posting suggestions on tl.net? other than complaining, why would you think it is useful? developers dont read tl.net forums for diablo. your ideas would best be served on battle.net where they will also likely ignore them, but more likely read them. I wanna hear other peoples thoughts, wtf is the problem with that? You are so negative jesus, is diablo3 a sensitive topic for you? yeah, i am the negative one. every post in this thread by you is negativity towards diablo 3. i used the filter button just to check. Your tone man. Two comments from you to me now in this page alone

this convo is super ironic because daphreak was probably the last defender of d3 on these boards pre-2.0. I quite remember arguing with him about how I thought the game was shit lol.

Fired up the game again recently after not having played since about September of last year. It's an enjoyable experience with the smart loot and I'm seeing quite a few legendary items per hour now with the changes, which may or may not be a fluke (I am playing on Torment I) but whether or not it's the novelty of picking it back up or the changes making me want to come back is still unknown. I defragmented my Diablo folder after updating and I'm not getting those huge frame drops I was getting before as well. Overall I think I'll keep playing for a bit to see if the direction feels right. I don't really remember why I quit playing before, might have gotten discouraged with not getting legendary drops back then if anything and felt like I was stagnating. If you haven't played for a while it's a good time to give it a shot with the most recent patch.
What are my fellow demon hunters using skillwise now? This is working pretty well for me right now: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Bal-1307/hero/10715371
Just noticing I don't have a gem in my quiver whatsoever, rofl.

It wasn't a knock on you. :D

I haven't been keeping up that much with RoS. Is there any guide that lists all the new features that RoS will have? I'm especially looking for features like nephalem rifts, bounties, adventure mode, etc. that is current as of the day they shut down the beta.

I'm actually in the process of writing a guide for just that sort of thing - that lists all the new features, game modes, and changes in RoS. I plan on having stuff on each of those topics that you mentioned plus parts on how to get the new level 70 hellfire ring, what the mystic can do, explain how elemental damage works, and more. I'll probably post it early next week so that everyone will have a chance to read it and tell me what I need to add/change before RoS comes out.

my understanding is that it still works the same way (+ add % damage modifiers) work off the black weapon damage, and new (__ skills deal % dmg) works off the type of skill you use, not the type of weapon. is that true, or am i missing something?
my profile is below. i understand the boots, ammy and trium work off my black weapon, and my bracer boosts my frozen orb.

To put it as simply as possible then: There is no difference with elemental dmg in the patch and you are correct :D +% elemental dmg adds to black weapon dmg and any elemental dmg of the same type on the weapon itself (ie +% fire elemental dmg adds to the black portion and the fire portion of a chantodo's, but a cold dmg would only add to the black). When you use a spell like frozen orb it says it's dmg type is cold. This means that it takes all of your dmg so far, turns it all into cold dmg (but does not modify it at all, just morphs the dmg type) and then it takes the +11% cold dmg from your bracers on top of EVERYTHING, which is why the +skill dmg modifiers are so powerful right now.

Thanks. I've read the previews but all of them were from around the start of the beta. I've followed enough patch notes to know that Blizzard changed a lot of the reward structure and how all of them work during the beta.

Reducing monster density has made the game terribly boring. PvM feels so unsatisfying now.

Hey guise......why is RoS dude a conehead?

Blizzard Digital copy purchaser noob here (I always bought their games physically). Is there any other reliable sites other than battle.net itself that sells the new expansion online? Just doing some research and wondering if the pre-order is worth it.

I havent found any significant discounts from buying any where else so far. It's $2 less from sites that sell CD keys like direct2play.com
