i did enjoy d3. is that wrong?
Your a bad person and you should feel bad!!
But no seriously I liked D3 when it launched aswell. Just as I liked D2 and D1 before that and yes I will be getting the expansion and I will enjoy playing that aswell. Tobad people some 'hardcore' D2 players hate the game because it tried to actually be fun for more relaxed players instead of the 1%.
Honestly, for me any diablo game will be fun as long as I can play with my friends and pwn monsters with various OP awesome looking abilities, having badies flying left and right across the screen. Some kind of character progression over time is good, but for me, it is not really the heart of the game.
Is it just me or has blizzard not exactly hyped up this game. I mean hell I didn't realize it was coming out very soon. I hear more about hearthstone on gaming websites then RoS...and I don't even like hearthstone.

My problems have nothing to do with being a "hardcore" D2 player. They essentially made a lot of promises, and then followed that up with their patented "soon" statements. In any case, I'm not going down that road again. If you enjoy it, good for you. I mean that. Seriously. I just stopped holding my breath that Blizzard will actually 1) figure out what's wrong with their games and 2) fix them appropriately or at all.

I played D1 and D2, enjoyed both games and played them for many hours. I did the same thing for D3. What I learned the most playing D3 is that I don't care for just about everything that hardcore D2 players did. Pvp/ladders/distributing stat points/leaderboards/rune words/clan support/permanent skill points, I enjoyed the previous games without giving a shit about any of them.

I've seen a screenshot of the wings from Mosquiera's power point presentation, (http://i.imgur.com/hcBTwc8.jpg) but as far as 2.0's release, there is some vagueness as to the translation on the patch information.
Loot 2.0 going live in two weeks is a bit debatable according to which translation of the Korean interview you read.
A poster in this thread has suggested that the original claim was not that 2.0 would drop in two weeks; rather, details about 2.0 would be released:
"According to the following (I had a colleague interpret the following article), it said that details about patch 2.0.1 and these other expansion bonuses (including the in-game bonus experience events they will be putting in the game on launch), will be forthcoming in the next 1-2 weeks."
My google translate reads as this : "the game will take the lead within two weeks from today mounting Patch 2.0, allowing the player to feel the new system Loot 2.0 lost treasure brought less intelligent and fine quality lost treasure"
if you go a bit backwards in time, you can see how the various blizzard games did
6 weeks prior to release sc2 WoL had ~370k preorders, HotS had ~130k preorders, diablo3 ~560k preorders, all games very high on the list of top sellers (d3 easily no1 of course) it should be 6 weeks prior to release for RoS and it doesnt crack the top30 in that list, with no30 having 40k preorders
I wonder what Blizzard's reaction will be if sales figures remain like that, should be interesting
That shows how stupid americans are. All these terrible Console-Shooters. Whats wrong with these people? Not only Pre-Ordering Games, whats retarded enough - NO they pay for Games that they have not played or even seen real Gameplay.
why preorder an expansion? if you are not buying collectors edition there is little reason to pre order, specially when alot of people will buy it online

according to that website, reaper of souls doesnt even exist.

tl;dr If you consider "mounting Patch 2.0" as English for going live, then yes, it is confirmed that it will drop in two weeks.
I'm not referencing an article, i'm referencing a video of a press conference in Korea with Mosquiera. No translations or interpreting needed lol :D Watch away:

right, might be a glitch / conspiracy too, too bad the rest of the list is behind a paywall I suppose (and you can't sort for pc games, consoles clutter up the top)
edit: at amazon, collector's edition seems to be doing well, regular RoS still buried pretty far deep in the charts, but no numbers there they might be showing trends or some such

I enjoy the combat, it feels like you can micro your character a lot more than in Path of Exile or Torchlight 2. The loot system is quite a bit worse than those other games though.

the game 'plays' like 100,000x better than any other ARPG on the market, it's just the itemization and content is shit.
yep, new loot system is nice at first glance. we will see if the changes in the patch and those to come in RoS will increase the longevity of the game, though. I'm still not convinced that there now is a worthwhile endgame... but at least the devs are taking a step in the right direction.

That is my concern as well: the potential lack of an endgame item hunt. I've already taken back to hardcore now though. With the class changes there are more viable builds and that makes it a lot more fun, especially since my main hardcore char was a wizard. Plus if they add ladders it would attract all of the non-casuals to build up from scratch to distract them from a lack of endgame if that is the case.
