Can someone just give me Diablo 2 with updated graphics and UIs? I'd pay $$$ for that.

blizzard is smartly targeting people who have limited time or don't grind. they want to find legends too.

Except most legendary equipment you find sucks. Tell me where they fixed that part.

If there would be "a lot of good drops", then by definition, they wouldn't be that good, because everyone would have them. They would be standard.... If you make near the BIS drop often, then everyone will run around with near identical gear of these best items, and people will complain about that. If you make them drop less often, to make them more desirable, then you get people complain about "all drops are crap", as they didn't get that really good drop that imaginary person X got, but 10 other people, playing as much as X, didn't get. Bottom line, people whine a lot. ![]()

I guess I didn't explicitly say it as such, but that's what I meant. On January 23 2014 15:05 chaos021 wrote: So I read a lot of Travis Day's responses. The idea that there's a timer on which legendary equipment drops just blows my mind. They're not actually worried about the quality of drops because they think enchanting fixes that. I honestly don't think anyone at Blizzard even understands the concept of an aRPG. Can someone just give me Diablo 2 with updated graphics and UIs? I'd pay $$$ for that.

I'm not really sure if they do waves of invites or what for this stage of beta. Yeah me too, but so far none of my friends I've talked to this morning got it. Maybe participation in the beta fell off and they are looking to bolster numbers a bit or something.

Regarding the "legendary timer" thing, you could tell this is something they didn't really want to mention, because the internet would instantly take it the wrong way. As the blue said, this is something only about 1% of players will ever encounter, and they probably won't know it. It is just there to stop that really unlucky percentage of players from going hours and hours of grinding with no reward (which is bound to happen in a pure rng drop system). It (hopefully) isn't something that can be gamed, and it isn't a core part of the loot system in any way. It is just a safety net. They recently buffed the legendary drop rates and the game feels a lot better. I played just as much this weekend as when I first got in the beta. Don't buy into all the doom and gloom hype from the MVPs: They are still playing the game and will almost definitely buy it. Don't get me wrong, there are still issues that need fixing. I want to see their solution to the split farming problem, and I'd like to see it soon. The end game also needs something besides rifts and bounties, perhaps this is where "devils hand" comes in (it isn't implemented in the beta yet). About a week ago, I was on the fence about buying it, but the recent patched helped a lot. If the next couple of patches see this sort of improvement, the game should be pretty solid for release, and they can tweak it from there.

They're focusing on like balancing classes, changing monster density etc. Wheres the important shit like pvp/leaderboards/ladder/game list/character builds etc. These were all part of D2 15 years ago. Please don't tell me these are hard to implement, even my free iPhone games have leaderboards. And here's pvp they had back in 2010: + Show Spoiler + also bind on account is dumb. They go from trading instantly with anyone to not trading with anyone at all. Is this really the best they can come up with.. they need to stop implementing random shit and think really hard about what the game needs. IMO the gold auction house (not the stupid rmah) did it's job perfectly, and people blamed it for the game being bad, but I bet if the rest of the game didn't suck the gold auction house wouldve been a great asset.
