Looking at the ilvl number of heroics to naxx is incredibly disingenuous though, the only reason the percentage increase is less is because 630 is a significantly larger number then 187. In terms of actual numerical increases (the thing that scales the dps) each expansion seems to increase the ilvl gap per tier dramatically.

In fact its probably more helpful to imagine ilvl as a staircase where each step gets larger. Or something like that, because ilvl itself is literally just a level linking to a predetermined set of stats that have been scaled to a certain point, scaled not on what percentage they are, but scaled off of what the previous number was.

Eurgh, reading the bear changes i feel like they are going to be very good again.
we’ve redesigned several parts of the Druid combat ability toolkit to instead focus on those core defensive ideas—health, armor, mitigation, and regeneration—while deemphasizing dodge.

How do you balance that :s

That just means they will mitigate less damage, more often, rather than just being either dodge and take zero damage, or not dodge and scare the shit out of the healers. You know, like every other tank

Yes but without block or parry onto off "less emphasized" dodge. They will either go back to having like double the hp of other tanks or the new more armor and hp regen shit they add will make the absurdly strong. Cuz u cant mitigate damage off of nothing. Guess this is what beta is for though xD

Balance wise im more concerned about the Affinity stuff. Hybrids have always been a clusterfuck.

Class Overview System!

Blizzard announced that it will blog about the upcoming changes it wants to make for each specific class in the upcoming expansion. This expansion they are changing the design of 12 classes and making sure they are all different and will list the changes and the direction they want to take said character.
Over the next week they will all be released and i'll link them here for you all to see!

Well, their mastery increases their max HP and healing received so that may be the case

Also rumors were saying beta 2 weeks after blizzcon

I could see them going with %dmg reduction from some part of their rotation because your right. just giving them a massive HP pool/armor will give issues. Issues bears have had before

So overall I'm liking all changes for the classes I care about.

Really hyped for the Priest (Disc/Shadow) changes, can't wait to transform into a void tentacle hentai monster

Only small thing I dislike is that mastery seems to be the best stat for all tankspecs. I mean you can't tell for sure, but they all seem very, very good.

Obviously there was a missed opportunity for CombatOutlaw to be the Rogue tank spec, with a mastery that gave dodge. :3

I still do not like them taking away the dodge/parry i thought that was a shame for tanks. One it helps divide up the plate gear some more and the bonus armor stat was just a cheap fix. Give me dodge parry % numbers i had to strive towards before i can go mass block etc xD

I'm kinda glad parry got fully baked into strength at least, though I'm a bit sad at the loss of dodge as a plate-wearer.

Looking at the Guardian changes. looks good. real good.
Resto looks nice as well.
Nothing is impossible, only some things for some people.

I'm glad that Resto stayed really interactive. I very much enjoy tracking HoTs and stuff, never liked healing on my Pally with that HL spam.

My understanding is the issues is they had a ton of HP but healers couldn't keep up with their damage intake, which should be fixed by their mastery increasing their healing received?
