Surprisingly the answer is no, because he already has. The real question is when his superstar status will finally achieve full recognition.
To the observant eye, Hall is one of the league's fastest and most skilled players who gets the puck on his stick like a magnet, just refusing to let it go. Not only do the analytics confirm this assessment, but they also identify him as one of the league's top 10 at everything from puck possession, power-play scoring and drawing penalties. not with his team in the basement. Even the miserable Thrashers with Kovelchuk raking up 100 points per season had one brief appearance in the playoffs, and that team was the equivalent of zimbabwe, with Waddel pissing away assets and players in the most ham fisted, incompetent management style I have ever seen in any pro sport.

You can get by with run of the mill but not elite goaltending, and Dubnyk supplies that. What you need is a good team in front, particularly a great D....... welp

Well at least we haven't let in 9 goals in a game, only a truly awful team would do that!

Not even. Dubnyk has not been close to average goaltending this year.
He has let in 3 muffin shots from outside the blueline...

You also need forwards who are going to help the back end man. I don't see a lot of them doing that. The whole team is terrible in the defensive end. It's not just their goaltending. I hardly see anyone back-checking; they have no coverage. If I were going to take any of the Canadian kids to the Olympics from the Oilers the only player I'd look at is Taylor Hall. We have way better options to take than Eberle and RNH atm. >_<

The Sharks have a fairly mediocre defense core, but all of their forwards backcheck like motherfuckers, which makes up for their blueline deficiencies.

Do you even watch the Oilers?
RNH best back checker on team. He always in best defensive position. I'd agree on Eberle though.

Yes I do, but there's only room for so many kids on the Olympic team and we have way better options at the moment. I have a hard time seeing Taylor Hall even making the team when you look at how much depth we have when it comes to forwards and centers. Canada has a lot of depth at center. How the heck are you going to slide RNH in when you have Toews, Crosby, Bergeron and Thornton? That's not even mentioning Stamkos, Getzlaf, Giroux (probably not worth mentioning atm with the horrendous start), Carter, etc. The thing is all of these guys have way more experience (and heck a lot of these guys are still in their prime!) compared to the kids. I'm sure we'll be taking a few youngsters along for the ride but I have a really hard time seeing RNH making this club. I'm sure they want them to develop more and by the next Games they'll be more than ready. It's not easy.

I don't know why Canada wouldn't take a whole a bunch of solid two-way players. They have a ton to choose from.

Yes they do. They invited over a dozen centers to the summer orientation camp and I'm not surprised RNH didn't get an invite when you look at the caliber of players on that list. That's why I don't see it happening even if RNH has a ridiculous season going into February. Several of these guys will be playing as wingers regardless. :V

=[ We watched football all of yesterday playing shuffleboard so I get my fix now. Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your turkey. We have enough for the next week, lol.
Ward scores a lot of goals from there on the PP. Open the Floodgates 4-1.

Ya seriously, yall need to trade for Miller. Its your only hope.

Devan Dubnykov and Jason LOLbarbera are the worst goaltending duo in team history... maybe even league history. Our team save percentage is .801, so awful.
