I walked away when the Lakers had a 7 point lead. Amazing comeback. Nothing was going down for the Thunder all night and they still win.
The physical tone of the game was huge. The Lakers were taking shots at the ball all night and as the Thunder you have to recognize that and not fall into the trap.
Also, it seemed like Durant and Westbrook were getting scared going to the rim. Why keep kicking the ball out to Ibaka like that?

Fuck you Clay Bennet. In the ass. I just can't stand watching OKC do so good, I'm always going to be bitter watching the should-be sonics. Fuck. Clay. Bennet.
But Sam Presti was hired under Bennet's ownership, no? Without him, the Sonics/Thunder might still stink.

Hmmm, dunno if I agree. They were playing great on D the whole game. They just had a meltdown in the last 2 mins after they took the 7 point lead. They absolutely dominated OKC inside.
oh my god. i have never flipped so many chairs in my life. that was so depressing.
i just.
the only one that doesn't share the fault (surprisingly) is pau. everybody else. fuck you. ron artest for jacking up shots to start the quarter and losing your man right after the ball gets to the inbounder's hands. kobe for those godawful turnovers and shots. tonight just wasn't the night for kobe time. bynum for taking retarded half-assed jumpshots 7 feet from the rim instead of taking it strong to the basket. also being a slow motherfucker on defense. steve blake. fucking. steve blake. half-assed pass that lead to one of kobe's turnovers and HIT A FUCKING WIDE OPEN 3. jesus christ. everybody knew that kobe was gonna get smothered. that play was designed for you in case kobe couldn't get open. this was fucking 2004 lakers vs spurs all over again. except with more time. and you didn't deliver. i bet d-fish is laughing at your ass right now, saying god damn. i'm glad that wasn't me that was shooting.
so disappointed. they were playing so well until those last 2 minutes. they better clean up their shit before they even come back to LA
Ok finally able to get to a computer to be able to type up what I wanted to (after I spent time on my phone doing it and accidentally deleted it).
In any case, when I said they gave up I meant it was all just Kobe taking all the shots pretty much. They did have the 2 miscues at the end so that was costly also. They just played the way they wanted to for 46 minutes really but couldn't finish it off...
As for the last 18 seconds or whatever is what I really wanted to get at though. Kobe and Brown should have known that OKC had a foul to give. And with the score the way it was, there was no point for the Lakers to not drive hard towards the basket looking for a layup, dish, foul in the act of shooting, whichever. Even if they missed, they still had a 2 for 1 pretty much because they would have then fouled the OKC player who rebounded the ball and that player would have had to make the 2 biggest free throws of their career. Instead they decided to just waste all those precious seconds away until Kobe got fouled with 5 seconds left.
Then it was the Blake shot of course, which was great b/c he was open, it just didn't go in. Nothing wrong with that play there at the end and Blake owned it in his interviews after the game.
I might be off base and missing something but during the game and the drive after and until now, I could not help to think they could have done that part better.

Yep, very true. I don't know what Kobe was thinking there. You want to get a good shot off as quickly as possible so even if you miss, you have a second chance to tie/win it.
The Blake shot was OK. I guess if he's going to be on the floor in that situation, that's the best shot he's going to get to win it. I don't know if you want a Steve Blake three being your best option with the game on the line though.
But as you said, they limited their options by mucking around too long with 18secs left on the clock.

It wasn't a flagrant 2 by any means, it was a flagrant 1. Simple as that. If he was in the air or pushed him with hands, i bet he would have gotten #2. I didn't see any unnecessary and excessive contact there. He just bumped him and moved him out of the way to the basket. Bodycheck isn't the right word to discribe that foul.
Going to disagree with you on that one. I see it as a clear bodycheck from behind, which can be very dangerous when the player you hit is going fast in the same direction. Wade was obviously trying to hit him too out of frustration for not getting a call on the play before, which adds in the intent factor. Other players have gotten 1-game suspensions for that kind of stuff and less this season. The only reason Wade didn't is because he's Wade.
Not going to quote the entire discussion but I agree with this. Wade is my favorite player but I don't think anyone didn't see FLAGRANT 2 with that play. Collison was running far ahead of him, Wade came from behind and there wasn't a play on the ball.

Not that easy to hit a 3 even if it's wide open. It's not like anyone is shooting 50% from behind the arc so a good majority of 3 pointers are going to be misses which means you shouldn't get mad at someone for missing one.
