This is just hilarious when you consider Zerg against Forcefields (not a balance whine, just pointing at the irony).
You can go around, over, under, and later in the game through forcefields. Fungal growth doesn't allow for any of that, and it deals damage.
And yet so many times FFs are effective, it's crazy to think they have any effect on the game with all those options you listed.
Of course they are effective, they allow for reshaping of the terrain. But they can be accounted for and circumvented or traversed.

I could see that if Ultras had gotten a buff like "can now walk over friendly units" (like the collossus) but the buff they gave the Ultra only makes it come out 20 seconds faster, it doesn't change the fact that it is useless in too many situations.
Yeah, not to mention Thors absolutely obliterate Ultras.
ZvT Ultras are only really effective at absorbing siege tank fire and dying instantly to ghosts.

Really incredibly huge change, but I think the effects of it are going to be felt most in ZvT, not ZvP.
Roach/Infestor was really the only way (in my opinion) to deal with a thor-heavy meching Terran. I think Neural was really necessary for dealing with big mech pushes, and I don't think it will be possible to have broods out in time.....
The sickest most perverse aspect of all this is that with immortals being buffed you're going to see more immortal pushes which means that the new NP will be both horribly cost ineffective and necessary to waste your resources in to counter some builds. Blizzard is an expert torturer
Again, if we're completing removing a spellcaster ability that is hurting protoss how on earth does EMP escape the chop? It's the most devastating thing by far. Blizzard nerfing zerg before terran again. You can't write this stuff man. It's stranger than fiction.
I can actually see the neural change being pretty significant in ZvT. Obviously nobody is going to switch over to a mass thor composition every game but neural seemed to be the only true 'counter' to significant thor numbers outside of hive tech.
Interesting change to PvZ...I really dont think it's that bad of a change. Obviously Blizzard are trying to create an infestor counter whichever tech the protoss goes down and i've personally always thought Colossi in highish numbers were the best response to infestors, (outside of feedbacking that is). This just promotes that idea even more. That said, the ability has been badly nerfed so I can understand people's animosity.

I hear roach immortal is pretty good against stalkers.
well, I will feel ok about this nerf on np if only blizzard nerf the ghost's snipe/emp abilities. snipes takes out zerg's tier 3 units no problem emp just owns protoss so hard that it isn't funny
Awesome. Now I know that post-patch I finally have a way to punish a couple units that stray away from the main army. Was definitely a game-breaking problem in all my matchups. Those darn stragglers... always catching me by surprise.
Wow, now colossi are again unstoppable and lings are worthless because of archon and colossi, i really hate that, do they really want the useless and inefficient corrupter again? People were whining about fungal and they nerf np. Players have shown with feedback, emp, snipe, blinkstalkers and phoenix how to combat infestors and np efficiently and they just remove it? WHY? Wow, this change makes me really pissed >
^ Yea, same here. There's just no way for Zerg to deal with stalker/colossi or VR/Colossi, and even then, just a handful of HT just instagib all infestors that need to channel/chain to be effective at all.
I know a lot of lower level P complain about FG on HT, but if you don't group them up, it's not a problem.
I've been trying to play on the PTR, but it's not up? Is anyone able to get on PTR? It says it's live on the website, but I can't get on it.

I guess they just want to go back to roach/hydra getting obliterated by mass colossus. I know I'm whining a bit here, but as a spectator I really hate this change. It makes the game less entertaining.
