herO was dominant in the first full week of 5.0.15 play, with the online tournament monster winning four of the competitions held October 6-12. Combined with MaxPax's own trio of wins in the previous week, the early returns on the new patch suggest that Protoss' might in online cup play has hardly been diminished.

October 6: Monday Night Weeklies #25

herO's first win of the win was the hardest to come by, as he had to survive a scary lower-bracket comeback run from MaxPax in Monday Night Weeklies. The finals reflected how tight PvP has been between the top three Protosses in MaxPax, Classic, and herO, with MaxPax resetting the bracket with a 3-2 win but subsequently ceding the title to herO with a 0-2 loss in the final BO3 (VOD). *****
October 7: PiGosaur Cup #52

herO proceeded to pick up his second win of the week in the PiGosaur Cup, making short work of a player roster that lacked any of his key rivals. herO's 3-1 finals victory against ByuN reflected his post-patch transition to a Colossus-centric style in PvT—an interesting contrast to MaxPax who still finds some value in Templars and Storm (VOD). *****
October 11: Korean StarCraft League #81

herO proceeded to clinch a weekly triple in the KSL, fighting his way through a short bracket before taking down Classic 3-0 in the finals (VOD). *****
October 7-12: WardiTV TLMC Tournament

herO completed his weekly quadruple in the TLMC #21 tournament, successfully navigating the new battlefields on his way to victory. Luckily, the PvP finals between herO and MaxPax wasn't just a contest to find new proxy spots on unfamiliar maps, but was still centered around early-game aggression (as most top level PvP's tend to be nowadays). While herO managed to best MaxPax for the second time in the week with a 4-2 finals victory, the big picture suggests PvP is a near coinflip when played between the big three (Day 1 - Day 2 - Day 3 - Day 4 - Day 5 - Day 6).

October 12: Patches' TLMC 21 Bash

The week closed out with mapmaker Patches adding to the TLMC #21 festivities, putting up $675 for a cup on the new maps. The barrage of PvP's continued even here, with
SKillous ultimately prevailing over Krystianer in a rather cheesy finals (VOD (finals)).
