I am not too familiar with 'Terran'. Will check some games out on YouTube, anyone know any particularly good matches that I shouldn't miss??

I actually agree with that post, unless you really become one of the toppest then you won't have a backup plan if your starcraft carreer doesn't go so well and besides not only education is important at this age but also the social experiences and such; i believe you need that for your upcoming life wether it's in the esport or not...

It's his future and it's his decision. By all means he could have gotten a gold mine offer from ROOT but if his ambitions seem more sound than a blank check, then I would assume any reasonable person would go with it. While I've never heard of the kid, I'll safely assume this kid has raw talent that is well desired in current pro-gaming teams. However, when it comes to maturity, and professionalism, someone with his track record needs to gain some respect to earn it first.

GL in sixjax, hopefully Artosis receives results.

I guess Neverexpo didn't make the cut ):

I cut myself from the team :D

I was on the edge since i was against the "format changes" that were being implemented. Once I found out kitty was joining the team over a handful of other really capable players, I decided I didn't want to be associated with what was going on.

In all honesty, sixjax is setting out to be the best sc2 team by around this time next year. I believe they have the ability to do so with the financial support backing the team right now, but there are some things, in my mind, that are more important than pure skill. I've tried to balance the teams I've lead with skill/manner/overall behavior because I believe those are key factors to running a successful team, but we will see what happens! Money certainly can change people

It will also be a huge mess for Juan if he wants to team hop again, since he is under contract, and it wont be something easy to get out of if he pulls his regular fiascos. GL everyone~

That's a healthy attitude, good to hear.

I hope this work's out for Artosis' sake but I doubt it.

The first time I heard of this guy was the drama about joining ROOT, the next time I see him he is rage-quitting an FXO tournament, and now this? He better be bloody good. And lol at the guy bring up ROOT wanting people to pay rent to join their team house. You mean people really have to pay for rent and board to live somewhere? Even if they play on the same team? My god, what an outrage.

you do realize ROOT expected a 17 year old kid to move from MEXICO to florida while paying rent to live in a team house right? for them to expect him to move in, pay rent, pay his own plane ticket to tournaments ontop of other expenses which sponsors would normally cover is absurd and this is not even bringing up the whole issue of him needing to obtain a visa in order to come in to the country and work (which i dont think can even occur due to his age). qxc and sheth also left due to sponsorship and money issues so obviously there was an issue there. the only difference is, when qxc and sheth leave everyone wishes them well, when gositerran leaves everyone bashes him.

a few posts up nailed it, ROOT got greedy and rushed to pick up a known player and failed. the team didnt have the backing in place gositerran felt he needed in order to compete at the level he wanted and made a decision to leave for a more established team. lets leave it at that and stop trying to take a crap on a person who just wants to further their career in pro-gaming. the way he goes about it is his business and thats that. whether people think its bm, immature, unprofessional. he believes this is the right choice so only time will tell.

at the end of the day both parties will be well off. ROOT will find new players who dont require as much attention as gositerran does, they will still be a top NA team and they will keep growing. gositerran will hopefully settle down with an already established team, focus on getting better and be a positive force in the sc2 foreigner community.

I'm sorry what, that's like the example someone else made, picking up PiQLiQ and it would end up bad. Exactly what has Terran achieved in SC2 so far to be called "known" player?

And this whole ROOT gaming house rent issue is getting hilarious. Read up a bit on what it actually is please :D

For those who want to see this guy play, he actually just posted a huge replay pack of himself less than a week ago (while he was still in ROOT). I feel like the thread kind of flew under the radar, but there's a ton of games in there so you can get a pretty accurate idea of what his skill level currently is.

He is good but his attitude to ROOT was never the greatest I heard on CatZ's stream that he was stubborn and would not listen to their advice. Him leaving ROOT was a slap on the face to them because they had to teach him all the basics for example he did not know about unit queuing with shift. ROOT put their faith in him and I feel that he used them as a stepping stone just to get better things which is very disloyal and I do not like him for that.

Good luck sixjax I hope he doesn't leave immediately for greener pastures.

Maybe I am wrong and I will humbly apologize if he proves us wrong.

Terran is nothing like PiQliQ though.....

Gosi[Terran] was one of the top players outside of Korea in BW at the start of the SC2 beta and on the same level as IdrA and NonY, arguably better. He was good enough to spend most of his time practising with top Korean players and while the ladder doesnt mean anything, its still impressive given how little time hes been playing SC2.

I wasnt surprised when he left Root after like a month, hopefully Artosis can temper him a little and lead him to some team stability though Im not holding my breath, contract or not.

Saw it coming, especially given how much Artosis loves this dude. Hope he changes his attitude here, feels kinda pretentious, you know?

I think his attitude is very reasonable. Putting up the amount of time it takes to play at top level and do your sponsors right requires that your sponsors do you right. If they can't help with some of the costs involved with getting to and from tournaments where the player is promoting their goods then the player would be wise to seek out a team with sponsors who would.

Being able to grind games out is very important and gosi was very well rounded and I think he will do very well. I can see him losing to someone with white-ra's style, but with enough practice he can close those gaps.

Why is it always polemic with Terran.

Bonus points to anyone who gets it.
