TvP siege expand is safest, rax FE is greediest that I would recommend, FD is standard
TvT probably rax FE or siege expand as well
TvZ probably rax FE

TvT I think the standard is vulture expand.
That being said, those are just openings, and it won't help him much in TvZ for instance.

Whichever one is earier for you. I feel like 1 rax is more flexible but 2 rax is safer. This is coming from a non-T player, just going based off what I do when I offrace and what I've seen.

TvP siege expo or mines expo
TvT 14cc or vult expo or factport
TvZ 1rax expo. 2rax fe is decent but generally weaker, 2rax aca is really weak if the zerg responds properly

Have there been any major changes in how you play ZvX/XvZ these last 4 years? I've been inspired to start playing again. Also, where can I find awesome replays nowadays? Besides TL.

Mutaling scourge vs mutaling scourge with occasional hive zvz is how it's still being played...just be good at scourge and anti scourge and muta and ling micro

ICCup has a pretty big replay database and repdepot...

Against what? It's been years since the metagame has focused a lot on micro oriented play so doing that 1 marine vs lurker or 1 marine, 7 medic vs 10 lings is rarely useful in game...mainly it's just stim a-move the mutas/lings...against lurker spread your marines out...and stay away from cliffs when possible against mutas

keep your marines near your tank so it fires whenever the goons move in to shoot. honestly it's rarely even worth it to actually push out with an fd if your opponent is decent at goon micro, just mine up your nat and scout with your vult
versus reaver play you need good turret placement and tanks. marines help a little but they take forever to kill shuttles so they're not actually that useful

Bio is rarely used in PvT, even less than hydra ZvZ, so most likely you won't have any bio left by the time it reaches shuttles, gols and turrets will be why you want. Against dragoons, have your marines tank shots from te drag so your tank is undamaged, and also marines have good DPS against drags

How do I deal with vulture mines as zerg? In lategame ZvT, the terran is either meching with vulture mines or going bio/tank with vulture mines. He starts placing them all over the damn map. I know I can make hydralisks and use ovies to spot and deal with them...but I was wondering if there is a faster way. I was actually surprised that my lings would kill the spider mine quickly enough that they did not explode. It was awesome because they cleared the mines and it was MUCH faster and easier on my apm than getting a hydra group in the middle of my ling/lurker/defiler play and hunting mines.

How were my lings about to kill the mines and become super minesweepers?

I'm thinking about foregoing hydralisk mine sweeping and instead opting for sending packs of lings at certain intervals to suicide into mines. Is this okay or do you suggest I minesweep in a different manner?

How can I minesweep easily with hydralisks? I think the most effective way is to make a long line of ovies over a pathway that leads to terran. then I click A the hydras up to the furthest ovie.

But then what? What do I do when there is a siege line and the tanks are covered in mines? Move and ling drag the mines in the first wave of attack?

Thanks guys!

tldr: been getting slaughtered by mines a Z. looking for tips and easy on the apm ways to deal with them.

use your speedlings to drag mines.DRAG IT,NOT KILL IT.And mutas can be effective at defusing mines too

Think PvT style...use hydras+ovs to clear mines around map, then when engaging siege line (try to attack unsieged) send in an initial wave of some ultras and lings to try to clear as many mines as possible and tank initial volley and then send in remaining hydraling, keep them spread, and don't amove the lings but have them run at tanks to drag mines. Also dark swarm over your hydras helps

Then how come I was killing mines with my lings quickly enough that they did not explode? What was going on? And if I lingerie drag mines into tanks... Do I use all 12 lings or just 6? What is an optimal number to ling drag sweep mines? I found that doing it with just one ling can be ineffective. Ty
