Stim, lay mines, irritiade and building main units from one single hotkey made it bit too easy and could potentially be a problem on higher levels but I was hoping that maps would eventually balance this out. I think it is less of a problem at high (truly high) level, actually. I don't think any of them have a mechanical issue with these commands nor do I think the benefit of custom would affect their play much. It probably has a much bigger effect on lower level players, like ICCup up to B or something.

![]() I prefer 8++ years of muscle memory over more suitable hotkeys. But I can see why protoss players would find it annoying (Build pylon, probe, observer etc..) I don't mind them though but I'm a terran player. Here's to hoping the official 1.18 patch isn't far away! ![]()

By leaving the game in an archaic, less-playable state, this increases the appeal of SC2 multiplayer while having SC:R for the nostalgia and campaign.

Here's to hoping the official 1.18 patch isn't far away! ![]() You're not the only one, now we're at least two ![]() Though I have to admit that I tried re-hotkeying my "set rally point" to "r" instead the default "f" (german hotkeys here). Because morphing defiler and set rally point are the same hotkey "f" and it was annoying when I want to build a defiler within my macro cycle but that hatch is still on zero larva... so it happened that I re-rally that hatch by accident. The good thing is, I got used to that and instantly figured "wait, no larva, right click to cancle the order to re-rally the hatch". After trying to use "r" for setting my rally point and the same issue occured I was more like: "wtf? is my keyboard broken or f-key not responding?!".. I was so confused that nothing happened at all xD So I'm back to "f" for both rally point and defiler :D

There were number of issues with the custom hotkeys features in the PTR build that needed fixing or newly implemented. Such as: - how it's randomly laid out, not race-specific or even alphabetical. - how you could only change the hotkeys on the first screen of the game, not in-game. It was a real pain in the ass how you had to go to the in-game, know what the EXACT command is for the hotkey you want to change - suppose you want to change the hotkey for the spider mines, you have to know it's 'use spider mines', but you could've guessed it to be something like 'lay spider mines', or 'plant spider mines' etc. The only way to find out is to go to the in game, use cheat codes and build a vulture and see what the exact command is, go back to the opening screen of the game, scroll down until you find 'use spider mines' manually, then change the hotkey. It's such a tiring and time consuming procedure, and something that's definitely needs to be changed. Anyways, I suppose they needed more time to fix these things, which I think they just could not manage to do in time. The new patch is likely to come out this weekend (I hope, by the looks of it), and I hope they do implement it in the 1.18b or something, because although BW is such a well-balanced game, it is a 20 year old game after all, and I would like to see some new features in the game to bring some new excitements to the game.

Iccup didn't make the cut. Fish is becoming the official b.net server out of Kor, and they're going to have their own realm for US & Eur; based off what i can gather from their info releases.

He's trying to connect to iccup via mca launcher. But his anti vir is alerting him (read about that since new most recent mca version, which is one of the reasons I didn't update it myself^^)

People can still use various pieces of third-party software to enable customization if they so desire.
