Its as predictable as it gets: Lots of ZvZ, Dewalt Bonyth finals. Not sure whats so fun about it

I like it more when Chinese people participate too. Otherwise, we always end up with the same finals over and over. It's really boring. I don't know how many times I've already seen the same players in the final. I only watch these days if the Chinese players are in it. I don't mean to downplay the performance of Bonyth, Dewalt, etc. I know how good they all are but as a viewer, it's kinda boring. Plus, I prefer seeing them play against Koreans or Chinese players.

Chinese lag with europeans. You can prefer it all you want, but it makes for bad laggy games in the tournament.

There was always lag. I've been playing since 1998 and have always played from Europe on US West. It's no worse than back then during the 28k modem days. Besides, I'm speaking from a spectator's perspective. It's just uninteresting to keep seeing the same final pairings over and over. I'd be curious to know if more people watch the annual PvP finals or stuff like Mihu vs. Dewalt / Bonyth etc.

pros:
+ more chinese players / variety of players should increase spectators' interest
+ players get a chance to play against best of china

cons:
- players having to deal with low latency, maybe lags
- organiser has to change the starting hour of the tournament if he wants the games live
- need of a 3rd party that will translate / organise matches
- while tournament gets more chinese players, the tournament may lose players that won't participate if chinese are included (motivation, lag or money related issue)

Also bear in mind, that after BSL main tournament, the best 4 will face top4 chinese players in a seperate tournament, so it's not that there isnt foreign vs china competition anymore, it's just elsewhere / at different time.

These are going to be very entertaining series. I had a hard time choosing a winner between Dewalt/Hawk and Bonyth/eOnzErG. I know it's obvious that our Protoss kings will most likely make it. But both Hawk and eOnzErG have it in them to cause an upset. Great pvz's await, may the best player win!
