Its hard to put that many factual errors and ignorant statements in a single post, quite a feat really. Terran is by far the deepest and most strategically diverse race in SC2. Thats a fact that even non-Terran players often bring up in balance discussions. "Bio only" and often optional medivacs? Complete and utter bullshit, you have to outplay your opponent by a large margin to win with that, especially in TvZ and TvT. You played 5 games in beta, congrats bro but you really dont know what you are talking about.

It's not that I don't like going bio but if I wanted I could have done the same thing in every match up marines + tanks + medic . Like vultures,tank,goliaths which is often use vs Zerg ? I am talking pure solid metal units relying on this composition without the need for marines . Show me a game of sc2 using only the said units vs Zerg and if you find it hard to imagine what I am saying here is a game of broodwar which mech is only used through out the whole game .
I've watched plenty of BW, I know what mech is and, as I've said repeatedly, mech is used often versus Zerg in SC2.

Mech in TvZ is good in sc2 actually, not used as often as marine/tank/medivac but still very powerful in the hands of a good player.
Oh july god of war in broodwar is playing vs mvp eh ? This will be fun and just looking from gomtv production the intro and everything looks professional,nice flooring by the way and the seats look pretty small not many people attending for the games ? . Like the idea that everything seems pretty glossy and shiny when they introduce the list of players who are playing . Find it funny that everyday I check the poll I made sc2 is increasing in it's vote everyday meh... Not going to take it serious anyway because most of the guy's who respond in this thread are from sc2.

fyi they don't stream because of how competitive the scene is, builds and such are considered internal team secrets(See Nalra oldboy). I wouldn't expect Flash to suddenly start streaming either, just look at what happened of late to him once people finally started picking up on his tendencies.

Perhaps what he might actually mean is that when the scene switches over to SC2 and there is a wave of retirements, perhaps some of those retired players will start streaming BW like what Hiya had done. That might be neat, but only if we can get them to stream outside of Afreeca or at least get some dedicated restreamers.
Whats the big deal with mech anyway. So what if it isnt used. Bio is more fun to play, so its no problem if its popular too. Same thing as in sc1, a lot of terrans just play bio tvz all the way because of its fun factor, despite weaker late game than mech builds

I would understand the complaints if there wasn't a depth of strategies, but it's simply not the case. The meta game is evolving all the time, and mech is a viable strategy.

MvP v July made me sleepy after the 15 minute mark so yeah you can say it again I am not going to touch any sc2 vod for a long time after this . Basically it was just my observation that I see that the studio doesn't show most of the seat in the gsl venue compared to proleague even though there is a little people attending for each game at least they will show the crowd faces and cheerful they bring for the pro gamers . I have no idea why you are getting so work up for that .

To his point, I reinstalled BW a few weeks ago (I bought both SC1 and BW on release), but gave up on learning how to play properly on Iccup because that meant I had to deal with the bullshit this subforum produces about anyone that plays SC2.
Then don't read these BW vs SC2 threads. This happens to be one of them. It wasn't originally intended so but as with every thread that discusses the "death" of BW, it gets derailed. There are other threads you can read and post in. "Whining, trolling and tribalism" is NOT all the BW forum is now. Frankly, it's very hurtful for someone to say that.
I'm sorry but you only have yourselves to blaim. You complain that BW is dying and in the next sentence you shut down any attempt from someone that's not from BW to have an intelligible argument. It's not acceptable to bitch and moan and to insult people that disagree with you in the real life about anything, I'm not sure why you guys think it's acceptable to do here. You're only driving away more people that are actually willing to watch and play BW.

Bad as the SC2 community and their ESPORTS fervor can be, at least they haven't spent the past three years bitching, moaning, pissing, whining, raging, and praying for BW to fail so they have an excuse to feel even more persecuted and superior.
At least I've actually supported the scene, and continue to do so with tournaments. What the fuck have you, or most of the people in this thread, ever done for BW? Nothing. So you don't get to feel superior just because you still have your BW purity ring. You're useless, worthless, and no benefit at all to the scene.

Just look at Sawamura above. He denied that there isn't pure mech play on SC2. Two VODs were promptly given to him, and now as he was proven wrong, he turns to the low attendances on the GOMtv studio or the comments on their website. This is getting sad.
MvP v July made me sleepy after the 15 minute mark so yeah you can say it again I am not going to touch any sc2 vod for a long time after this . Basically it was just my observation that I see that the studio doesn't show most of the seat in the gsl venue compared to proleague even though there is a little people attending for each game at least they will show the crowd faces and cheerful they bring for the pro gamers . I have no idea why you are getting so work up for that .
My point is that you're so defensive that you cannot even recognize a mistake in an assessment you made about SC2 before you jump to another unrelated thing to criticize. And I'm not sure you noticed, but I'm not worked up at all over this. I didn't watch much BW so I don't have reasons to be upset about anything.

Every thread ends up an SC2 vs BW thread. Only the Nada's Body thread is safe from it, because the healing power of his abs transcends our worldly squabbles.
It's always the same:
1. Someone mentions SC2 in any context, usually but not always a troll that gets banned for making absurd and stupid claims about BW. 2. BW martrys (not to be confused with actual BW fans) respond to the troll, making references to what the SC2 scene and metagame is like based on their having watched a game six months ago 3. SC2 fans and/or fans of both games react to the BW martrys attacks 4. Shitstorm. Any useful, interesting, or constructive posts are lost.
If you see a troll post, report and ignore.
Also, can we please accept that no one ever ever ever changes their minds in these flamewars? The one and only time I've ever seen anyone go "Oh, I didn't know that. That softens my view on the game I don't like" was a guy who thought SC2 tournaments were only allowed to use Blizzard maps. That's it. No one's going to like a game they don't like because you made a really good argument.
I'm going to play BW. The D channel on ICCUP is probably more intellectually stimulating than threads like this.
