Stop being jerks to each other please. Stop talking about seperate TL sites, BW vs SC2, or which fan base is retarded/ignorant/elitist/old/constipated.

Don't post in the thread unless you take the time to read the situation.

Kespa will mix the players of the 3 disbanding teams to form 2 balanced teams. Why people are freaking out?

I really doubt that Kespa will manage the coaching process. Kespa will manage administrative stuff, not what goes on at the practice houses or who plays in wich map.

If it's management, could it be something like board management in a corporation, or maybe even management of a subsidiary? What this equates to generally is fiscal control. The day to day affairs are in the hands of the officers (the coaching staff) but any major corporate decision will have to be made by the board. This involves many things I would think - selling/buying players, hiring/firing coaches, leasing room for a practice house and renting a dormitory for the players, buying a team bus, etc (mostly involving acts of ownership). If so, I'm not sure how this might be fair, be it the management of 2 teams or of all teams. As someone pointed out, KeSPA is composed of representatives from all the teams, but the power within has been in the hands of CJ/SKT representatives. It feels too much like conflict of interest to me, honestly.

Ultimately, if it keeps BW up and running I'm fine with it though.

Well, obviously Kespa can't intervene in who gets sent to proleague and stuff. But until the management part gets some clarification on what it actually means, then all will pretty much be speculation.

How many teams are going to be formed from those "5-6 companies willing"?

Kespa says it will try to maintain 8 teams for these year proleague format and 5-6 companies are interested in investing in to the scene but we are not told out of these interested sponsors how many more teams will be formed . I think we have just to wait and see what's going to happen.

Yep, thanks, but even if it's an unsubstantiated rumor right now, it's actually a logical move to prevent the fearmongering in respect of match-fixing issues and corporate downsizing. I just have a problem with the structural aspect, since if KeSPA does change into a management body of a few teams, it could interfere in what is presumably a market/player/coach-driven aspect (such as roster changes).

Being involved in roster changes is only to the level of American sports though.. blocking teams from becoming overpowered is probably a good idea.

This is wonderful news. I'm glad that the situation is starting to stabilize with the Brood War scene. One question I have, though, is will they still hold the playoffs in the same fashion with the top-6 teams thing? With (supposedly) 8 teams, it would be kinda generous to let the top 6 advance, imo.
I'll just trust in Kespa's decision making.
