he is awesome!!!
agreed. I've also really been enjoying Day[9]'s casts despite all the pausing, he really breaks down the game to a much deeper level than anyone else, and that includes Tasteless and Artosis.

Gonna have to say Kenny is amazin.
I love Tasteless/Artosis combo. Diggity is another one I like to listen to and Moletrap if he covers matches that aren't done by others. I like Day[9] if he is in "serious" caster mode and not "bear semen" mode.
Klazart was the first youtube caster I heard though. Tasteless was the first live English caster.

Best of the best analysis and explainations - Day[9] Only if you rely on getting tons of information .. yep that guy is amazing. Gotta like them short "breaks" he does, you can assimilate all the billions of stuff he says.
Altho, two or more korean commentators yelling together are far more superior entertainment! I believe I'm starting to understand them.. :O

day[9] is doing his day9daily, check that out.

If you find ANY Terran games with Artosis commentating, they are clearly the best out there!! I'm blown away everytime I watch his TvT analysis. Day[9] are really nice also, Love them! after that, alot of passion, but very little good insight imo. Havent seen much of Chill so dont know / remember

I think there's a bit of difference between commentating and analyzing a game. DAy[9] analyzes the games, breaks it down in pieces, rewinds and pauses at important parts and explains the reason for every single move. Really great to watch... If you're there to *learn*, that is.
Commentating however is more to entertain the viewer. To get him excited, bite on his finger nails and jump in his chair, or to give him a good laugh. That sort of stuff. Sure, giving a good estimation of what might happen could be good, but it's more supposed to be guesses rather than facts, so that the suspense is still there for the viewer. I don't watch soccer games to learn how to play better, I watch because it's fun. And for the same reason, I like watching most amateur commentators. They bring the suspense that we can't get from the Korean commentators.
I like DAy[9] and his daily cast as well, but I watch that to learn. The only *commentary* he has ever done, as far as I know, is the one of Chill vs Combat-Ex, and THAT was really fucking entertaining.
Hope I made at least some sense.

the OP's definition of "good" seems to be the most technical. For many people, entertainment is at least as important as strategical insight.

Day9 is the best commentator without a doubt. Most knowledgeable, most entertaining, and the best voice. For those of you who don't know, he casted the Nostalgia Tournament and it was fucking art

I dont look forward to them much anymore (except somehow he manages to make Blizzcon/WCG fantastic)

Well Tasteless is at a disadvantage though, he's working for a sponsor, and his audience isn't just TL.net, but other random newbs to starcraft. It's not like he can go into an indepth analysis for people who don't know the game. Day[9] can go into as much detail as he wants, because all of the people who watch his cast are pretty comfortable with terminology and all that. It's not really fair to compare them.

meh, Klazart is/was da bomb

Combat-EX.
There, I said it.

day9's daily ones are fucking tip top quality. I used to be a klazart fan for his flowery speech and excitement and pure words per minute, but day9 really has no competition when it comes to in depth strategy and map analysis, as well as historical knowledge and game examples.
