Artosis, Day[9], Tasteless. Chill is decent one to watch since he deals with forums and like B- i think, Don't think he's as active as he was in the past though unless he is sneaking games ![]()

But really IMO english commentary in general is pretty overrated. I just sorta prefer korean just because it can be really funny sometimes. I don't like most english commentary because I feel like I'm just being told what I already know most of the time or something slightly wrong.

My approach to english commentary has always been just a way to watch a game with someone else. It's ok to watch a sport on TV by yourself, but it's a lot more fun to hear someone else talking with you about the game, even if you can't respond. Since pro Starcraft is such a niche kind of entertainment, it's hard to get 2 people in the same room who like it. I think that's where English commentary really shines, especially with dual or triple commentaries. It feels like you're experiencing the game with other guys.

I still like Husky, Artosis, Day[9] and Chill but I'd say maybe 5% of the SC I watch is commentated t_t

'gooooaaaaaaalllllll' I like Husky because he's comical and he somtimes he puts himself inside the unit's point of view. That's just entertaining.

On that note, does anyone know commentators who do foreigner games on a regular basis (english) ?

Among the YouTube commentators, Cholera is the only one I can stand: the rest don't seem to know very much about the game. Commentary aside, NukeTheStars does some pretty cool stuff with music and hype videos and that sort of thing. In terms of teams, I actually liked Artosis + Gentho better than any other team I've heard. Gentho's knowledge of the game was all right (Artosis's was better, of course), and their casting really flowed when they were together.

There's a good one between Iris and Jaedong on Python, go check it out.

I watch everything those guys commentate. So entertaining and insightful i do enjoy the occasional Cholera commentary though, but its rare he does a game that I haven't seen anyway. I also got really tired of tasteless, and I always disliked moletrap to a maximum

AND THE REAVER TAKES OUT 13 DRONES! vs. REAVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!~~~~~~ WAHHHHHHHHHHHH hahahaha, I try to do this sometimes. Thats just kind of how my personality is i suppose (yelling and screaming ftw?) A couple important things to keep in mind about this: 1) Most commentators go solo. Yes, there are a lot of dual/triple commentaries out there, but I would say a majority of them are individual. Its kind of hard to just yell AHHHHH PLAGUUUUUUUU PLAGUUUUUU PSIONIC STORMUHHHHHHHHH when you're by yourself as theres no actual content to the commentaries. 2) English is not a language that flows really well with that kind of commentating. I mean look at English sports commentaries vs Spanish ones, when we yell GOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL it just doesnt work as well. I think English is a better language for saying multiple things in a stoked tone of voice instead of just one. 3) A lot of people are shy ![]() Thats just from my experience though and I am slowly trying to work stuff like that into my videos. Dunno if it works with English though... Edit: Reduced the 'though' count...
