Yeah I'm around a C- player. If you're looking for someone who does a lot of content, as far as I know, my channel and Cholera's upload amongst the most. If you want retardedly in-depth analysis, listen to anything ever made by Day[9] If you want someone who completely freaks out and gets himself lost in the world of SC, watch Klazart. There are TONS of English commentators out there. Whats awesome about it is they all bring something different to the table. Just gotta pick and choose which ones you like the most. People who are good at SC/appreciate complex game analysis will pick the most common names mentioned here. People who just enjoy watching the game for entertainment value have much more to choose from.

Day[9] is also good, but I haven't heard much of his stuff except for the Chill vs Combat-ex one.

No use of extensive game knowledge if you can't present it well. Husky holds my attention and is decent as far as analysis goes. Keep going strong!

I used to think Tasteless was really good but after watching a lot of GOM with him and SDM I realise they simply talk a lot about non-game related stuff and don't do that much analysis. So I'm interested to watch some GOOD starcraft commentating that actually talks really indepth about what's going on in the game. Please help! Yeah I think that Tasteless was cool at first. Nowadays I don't even bother watching the english GOM games because they are so boring. No analysis, nothing. Just SDM talking about whatever and Tasteless pointing out what's happening in the game. Also he always mixes players up. Of course I like that fact that we have english commentators for Starcraft, but I really don't think Tasteless is that good in GOM. Maybe he needs to be on a stage more, like at WCG for instance, he is better there imo.

![]() But if you want to expand topic and talk about other commentators and their pros, then: - If you want to have fun listening to commentaries and not care about too much analysis - Tasteless is your pick - If you want lots of talking, no matter what is the topic you can either: piss your girlfriend or pick other commentators. Still i prefer to watch VODs with my buddies in that case, cause i see no reason to listen to somebody unless: a) i'm watching with him/them b) i want insight c) i want fun Simply listening to lots of talk is worse than hearing all the riboriboribo, playgu and gee geee Plus i agree about Gretorp's self-commentaries being huge. Still i'm happy that he is mostly playing, b/c this allows us to see results ![]()

He's really really good at describing gameflow and giving analysis of Zerg games, it was really great to have him there. i overwhelmingly agree he has such a vast knowledge of the game, that it's almost poetic. i dont think anyone i've ever listened to has even come close in terms of in depth knowledge of the game. everyone has their "strategy" theories. but Day9 just, gah, has this unbelievable knowledge. he called jaedong's 10 hatch before it even happened based on the inverted ramps for the map and his extractor trick timing. ever since that moment, he has been the epitome of commentating imo. bar none. also he has an asian girlfriend.
