I've never owned a console in my life and I don't really intend to (the only thing they're good for is fighting games and Flower and I'm not gonna buy PS3 just for that).

Well, if you play and abuse the game system it sure is no fun. I never did any of the things you mentioned in Morrowind. And I never wore BoBS (hate them) either.

But how can you enjoy the game then? I mean, there are like 200 quests you can do and for 100 or so you have to walk 10 minutes, fight 5 and teleport back. This is ridiculous. Or if you wanna level up a skill. Some trainers are in the middle of fucking nowhere. Even if you have all propylon indices it takes you ages to get to some places without anything happening, it's just walking, the same like in Diablo 1. Why on earth is the witch not only on the other side of the creek but also at the most far-off place on the map? It's so annoying. Same for Wirt(?), the child selling weapons. With the expansion pack they added the ability to run in the town which was really a plus. But Diablo 1 itself was a pain in the ass. And the dungeons were no better. The sorcerer is better than rogue/knight just due to the fact that he can teleport all the time (not to mention the imba AOE spells).

I mean, the games are still great and I played them both a lot, but regarding the atmosphere they are awful because you spend 5 minutes out of 10 walking.

You can't have non-stop action. The game would be incredibly boring without this occasional breaks when you have to walk from point A to point B.

After 13 damn years, I STILL haven't beaten it. Where as ninja gaiden was an 25 hour-ish run.

ninja gaiden = hard and not gratifying. you feel no personal gain from overcoming difficulty

megaman/demons souls = hard and gratifying. obstacles are intense but the feeling you get from succeeding makes it all worthwhile

i like how you say "it" as if there's only one megaman, not thirty
