First of all I would like to correct the title of this entry.
First fast food meal in 6 years with some rare pizza dinner now and then.
When I was younger I used to eat fast food esporadically until I tried KFC. I mean, that's not chicken. It doesn't even look like chicken. That's not a chicken's leg, nor a wing. It tastes diferent. I remember puking after my first and last KFC meal. Grilled spicy chicken "fast food" is common in Portugal and there's even this international franchising company called Nando's which is probably the closest to what I usually eat here.
Since that infamous KFC day I decided not to eat any fast food again... until today.
I woke up late and I was really hungry for a burguer. I checked the freezer and there was no meat so I decided to go for the easy way.
I went to McDonald's and ordered a Big Tasty with a coke. It was the largest burguer in the menu and I was really hungry so I gave it a shot. It had ridiculous amounts of maionese with moustard(?) and a pretty decent sized burguer with salad and cheese. My expectations were low and I have to say it was a taaasty burger, but defenitly not a Big Kahuna's with sprite. I didn't puke and I was quite happy about the taste and it was cheap.
Conclusion: I think I don't visit fast food chains very often because I like to know what I'm eating and... I just love cooking.
About McDonald's: I was pretty impressed because it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, although I didn't eat their chips.
I'm not sure if I will visit the restaurant again in a near future but who knows. In 6 years perhaps? *Counting*
Question: how often do you eat fast food? Do you like McDonald's? What about KFC?

I don't particularly care for either KFC or McDonald's. Though as far as cheap menu items go, the Double Cheeseburger is better than a lot of cheap items at other places.
For burger joints, I like either Carl's Jr. (Jalapeno, or just a burger with the sante fe sauce, or teriyaki) or Jack in the Box (sirloin burger with grilled onions - their jumbo jack is good too). In-N-Out too, of course, but they're definitely a higher tier of fast food.

comparing america McD to euro McD though, euro McD wins by far. I eat fast food maybe once or twice a year and honestly when I compare them, there's a large gap t_t

The only thing I am able to eat from McDonald's and get full is the Big Tasty lol. Their stuff is pretty small and cheap.
I really hate KFC. Their food tastes awesome imo, however it ends up fucking up my digestive system for a while T_T

Depends on the country. Here it's 4,45€ for a normal sized BigMac menu, and 4,95 for the super sized one.
Last time I was in the Netherlands I think it was something like 6€ and about 4€ in Russia. In spain it's about 5€ and France, the UK, Germany, all share the same prices.

Mcdonalds food sucks imo except for their fries which are good. I barely eat fast food anymore besides pizza once in a while but I always liked Wendys and Taco Bell. KFC was ok Burger King was just a small step up from Mcdonalds. Sonic was good the one time I had it.

I think fast food is pretty tasty. When you get older your tastes change and you input other thoughts into the food that makes you think it tastes worse such as it being unhealthy and making you feel like crap. Every young kid loves McDonalds, it isn't until we get older and appreciate fine dining that we realize it's low quality food.

I usually I don't go to McDonald's but I can't resist their breakfast... if I'm driving in the morning usually I stop and get one of the breakfast sandwiches.

they got some new 1/3lb angus burger that is off the hook. There's three different kind: deluxe(regular lettuce/tomato/cheese/pickle burger), mushroom swiss and the bacon cheese....
I've tried the deluxe and bacon cheese only b/c i got some coupons for buying the burger alone(3.99) and you get free fries and a drink.

I go to McDonalds or Burger King on occasion, kinda depends, sometimes I'll go like 5 or 6 times in a month, other times I won't go for months on end. It's decent tasting food and is really cheap and I'm pretty damn thin so I have no obesity worries.

I'm not a huge fan of fast food, but I'm not really opposed to it... KFC is pretty good imo and McDonald's is okay. They both taste fine but occasionally will make you feel sick a bit... but good if you're on the run or want to stay simple as far as finding food

I once ordered 2 medium sized fries for drive-thru at Mcdonalds.
I didn't check the bag, and as I arrived at my destination 20 minutes later, I realized that they forgot both fries.
Also I didn't check the bag another time and they forgot salt on my fries. lol

Mcdonalds can't be better here. It's bland, filthy food, the 'restaurants' are fugly, and that's just the ones in cities. The 'people' who eat the stuff are, on the lower tenth of pretty much any bell-curve. I don't like it.

sonic - the king of fast food in USA. too bad there are none in the northeast...the few times ive eaten there they really do have the weirdest/best drinks there and the food isnt half bad either. cheap as well.

I eat Mc in an average of once per week, mostly for breakfast cause I dont have time to cook something sometimes so I buy it on my way to my job...
here it is ok, but lately I notice they changed the size so now I refer to the Big Mac as Micro Mac it is just so tiny nowdays... I just prefer Burger King if I have to pick a fast food restaurant... of course "real" food is always better.

dude Mcdonalds is like the worst fast food. Their french fries just ooze with fat. About a month ago I got some Jack in the Box and for some reason, it was just disgusting to me. Since then I've almost completely stopped eating fast food, and I feel so much better for it. I recently had Popeye's Chicken and it's super greasy... jesus christ, I'm not going to be eating that either.

As a last resort, whatever, but don't make a habit of getting fast food. It's incredibly processed and worthless to your nutrition. More something to keep your stomach from grumbling when you're in the middle of nowhere on a long car trip or something. Even still, if you can find a grocery store, that's loads better.

Whatever fast food burger place I go to, I get the lowest denominator chicken sandwich. The McChicken has really bad chicken, so I try not to go there but their mini meals where you get a small drink and small fries for 2.99 is really good. Wendy's has the best chicken sandwich imo followed by Spicy Chicken at Jack in the Box. Chicken burritos/tacos al fresco at Taco Bell are pretty good too. KFC is just too much for me usually and I'm more of a grilled chicken kind of guy so El Pollo Loco is better imo.

There was a time when I would eat fast food maybe...twice a month and it was fine. Then I just stopped eating it for years. One day I went back to fast food while I was on a trip and it hurt my stomach so bad, felt like shit.

Fast food is pretty good for what it is, but it's no substitute for real food. I eat it maybe once a week or so, and if I eat it much more often than that, it gets old pretty quick. Carl's Jr. and Sonic are probably my faves, though.

The last time I went to McDonalds would be about 6 months ago. The only thing I remember is that their Quarter-Pounder with cheese actually looked exactly like the picture, which was very surprising.

- I hate BK. They have such a bad production method. They take a bun, put cheese on it and a meat and put it away. When you order it they microwave it and roast the other half of the bread and put dressing, sallad etc on it. So basically half the burger is old (totally tells imo). Fries taste bad and every burger too.
Mcdonald's:
+ Mcd in Sweden makes burgers and put them on heat for 10 minutes, then they throw them away if they didn't sell. (This is not properly executed all the time though) Anyways if you order a Big Mac no cucumber extra cheese (the way I want it) you will wait a shorter time because they constantly make burgers due to sell out or them getting old.
+ Really tasty burgers and almost always fresh.
+ Good fries (but be sure to get fresh ones)

- All the special new campaign burgers come in the shape of a big tasty or a chicken product. I hate fast food chicken and I don't like my meat that big so I've been stuck with big mac for a few years.

I worked in a McDonald's this summer.
I now only eat fast food if I make it myself.
BTW: McDonald's has ridiculous regulations that employees have to follow, so shit usually doesn't get old or gross. I'm just picky and want my stuff cooked a certain way, not the McDonald's way.

I can't eat mcdonald's I get sick every time I do. BurgerKing is fine, but I can't touch mcdonald's food.
FastFood in general though isn't terrible but it's only if I can't get home to make something.

Fast Food chains are gonna vary greatly from country to country. Like if there was a Mcdonalds in the middle of the sahara desert, i'm not getting something to eat there.
KFC is fine here although I usually don't get the regular chicken, the greasy marinade doesn't appeal to me. I'd usually go for the chicken strips and sides or something.

I think all the newer macdonalds chains arnt as bad as the press they get
They really have tried to clean up their act after so much bad press and you can tell they are going for a complete image change
As far as the food goes, its still the same, not really that good for you but tastes good for a snack stuff.
I think how you get things varies from restaurant to restaurant and staff ethics. In burger king they will happily cook half a meal, leave it out, and cook the other half when you order it. You can definately tell when its old, and they do that a lot.
Always ask for something to be not in the burger (lettuce, mayo, pickles etc.) so they have to make a fresh one
In macdonalds, in some of the older establishments its worse but it variest also.

Havent had fast food except sushi for almost 2 years lol. I dont like it not because it isnt tasty but because it is just way to unhealthy. I used to love McDonalds and Pizza but this time when i was eating a KFC chicken breast, I was able to squeeze grease out of the meat. I didnt finish that meal. From then on I decided to not eat any fast food like burgers pizza and fried chicken/fries. I still eat them, but i make them myself so i know how much oil/fats that im using.

Our KFC/Taco Bell combo outlet just closed That leaves us with McDonald's, Burger King, Arby's, two Subways, Quizno's, Taco John's, Pizza Hut, Domino's, Breadboard (subs), and Pizza on the Run- in a town of 9000. Plus the load of Mexican places, steakhouses, buffets, Italian and Chinese, sushi etc. For a smaller place, we are pretty packed with restaurants. But no more Taco Bell of KFC Or should that be  ?

lol my mcdonald's meal in years was horrible. my mom runs a daycare and some parent brought chicken nuggets and fries. unfortunately, more than enough so some was shoved to me. i almost barfed eating the fries, they were so horrible. the nuggets weren't as bad though..

McDonalds is good too. I know it's unhealthy etc but KFC burgers suck. They are too fluffy and if I take a a bite the crumbs are everywhere. The McDonalds are good because you can eat a a whole burger and not worry about what damage it can do to your cloth.

I had a delicious Carl's Jr. meal last night after reading this blog. It was great. But my stomach has been giving me problems all morning, that I won't go into detail about, and oh dear god, I'm done with most fast food. I'll stick to Subway and places like In-N-Out if I absolutely must have a fast food burger.
