Hi everyone I would like to introduce my self and tell you my background, when I got into Sc2, and how I hope to improve at the game. So I first got interested in Sc2 during the beta when I saw that viral video on youtube about this guy's girlfriend tearing up his beta code. From there I went on to watch Husky's video's and later found out about Day9 and started watching daily's and live stream's from various people.
So I didn't get the game till mid Jan 2011 and I have been doing a lot of playing vs AI and watching vods/streams instead of laddering (also I had been playing as Zerg planing to switch to Protoss) and I really want to start so I can get better. In the last day I have been trying to prepare at least 1 build for each matchup, as I am writing this now the best I have found is 3gate robo for PvP, Naniwa's PvT build from this thread, and for PvZ 3gate sentry expand.
I plain to blog my progress and my mistakes I also am going to start streaming in about a month after I move to maybe get some constructive criticism. My overall goal would be to at least get to masters if not better. I'm waiting for my new CPU cooler this week and then I'm going to start playing ALOT I hope to maybe play with some of y'all and maybe for you to follow my blog. This is my first blog post I hope I didn't ramble to much and that I got my point across thanks for reading.

dont worry im not the grammer police. i had the same idea as you but not the passion for it, i only like watching people play instead of playing myself. goodluck with your goal.

It's not grammar or spelling, it's readability. When people see a big block of text like that, most of the time they do not read it.

Thank you kind sir. :D Anyway I don't see why it's a big deal with a post this short not like its a essay. If you don't want to read it don't it's fine with me.

I don't see why it's such a big deal to put in just slightly more effort to make your posts more readable. It's really not that hard to do so and makes you come across as a much more intelligent person.

Idk I haven't been a forum user or blogger for very long I didn't know absolutely correct grammar was required I will try harder next time.

Zerg is much better to play. At least the mirror doesn't suck a donkey's left nut by forcing one base all in styles. Not only that, INFESTORS.
Protoss has bland gameplay for a race with more units than Zerg. You either pick one of three tech choices and move on from there. With Zerg you can yank the guy around with tech switches and what not.
...
I really can't find any other reasons to stop you from becoming another Protoss added into the PvP nightmare...

Arg...I know I have been contemplating switching for a very long time for that very reason PvP but we shall see, in the next few days I have some decisions to make. It's very hard to make a decision on a race and stick to it. If this wasn't my first RTS I would most likely just play random.

Just curious, where are you ranked now and why did you chose Protoss?
See I started as Terran in early beta and then switched to Toss for release. Around Christmas I switched to Zerg then back to Toss and now back to Zerg. I always like to know why people change races.

I don't really know I feel like maybe because I couldn't macro very well and the macro seems a little bit easier for a newbie like me.

Someone definitely watched Hwangsin today Jokes aside, if you're switching from zerg to another race, you have to know how many production buildings you can support from how many bases and that takes time. I still end up with so much money despite not missing macro beats. After learning this, you'll probably have no more problems.

Fair enough. I definitely think that Protoss is the easier race to learn as a beginner. In fact, I think that Terran might be the best beginner race because I believe that it is the most forgiving race. In the end, I believe you should play the race that feels right to you regardless of how easy or difficult it is to play. Eventually things will pan out.
