In Super she lost a little damage on Ultra 1 and lost some frame advantage on ground burning kicks, but considering the overall damage nerfs to most of the cast from Vanilla to Super she really pretty much stayed exactly the same in that transition. From Super to AE the only thing that I've heard from a credible source is that her U2 hitbox got buffed, but her U2 is really just a lesser noob friendly version of her U1. There literally isn't a matchup where her U2 is a better choice, her U1 is easily one of the best in the game. Most people would say she's improved in each version via staying the same. Matchups she's traditionally had problems with were Honda/Rog/Bison/Rose/Blanka/Gief, and then some other characters to lesser extents. However most of those characters got nerfed, so that's only positive news for her. If you are a Viper player you are playing the same character you been playing since the start. Thats great to hear that kind of stuff i play a lot of sf4 and ssf4 and not to long ago iv started playing viper. I literally only like playing her now but i know people get frustrated with me so i pick other guys. i don't know about all the frames and details of how moves work but just what works and what doesn't so its nice to hear the details that she is still solid. Im pretty excited for AE just for the fact i get to learn new matchups for her especially this yun character i keep hearing about and seeing. Plus learning some the new stuff on and off just means so much more play time and value out of my fight stick.

Glad someones agreeing. I'm tired of the bitching. If you can't beat that person's main character other than a twin, then stop bitching and level up your game.

My point with the palms is that people are bitching about it being safe as a move but it is a fireball in the end with every properly of a fireball except zoning, and hsould be punished as a fireball not as any other move. Gief rapes twins yeah, Vance will probably be america's best chance at evo lol. And in the end you just have to respect the ex lunge when he has meter, because if its blocked you can start up any of your BnB's on him. Ex dash from Yun is actually +1 on block which makes it such a good tool to throw out and its really hard to punish from a jump back and it breaks focus. The only real way to deal with is to buffer your uppercut/ultra from 3/4 screen and another good way to know how to punish it is that it goes about 90% of the screen so if you are full screen it will just miss, its all in the spacing

It's one of the most horribly organized forums though =[. No one knows how to update an OP.

No one knows how to update an OP. eh http://wiki.shoryuken.com/Super_Street_Fighter_IV_AE the character forums are a little random, but there's good info buried in em for those who look. Some of the character nerfs are almost sad. abel's u2 is hilariously worse and incredibly easy to punish, and I definitely felt like my controller had disconnected after I did rog's headbutt for the first time =/ edit: so apparently that part of the wiki hasn't been fully updated for the returning members of the cast, so if theres no combos etc on there check http://wiki.shoryuken.com/Super_Street_Fighter_IV

Viper has the hardest execution in the game, she makes me want to kill myself sometimes because I almost always drop combos with her. Picking a simpler character like Boxer/Dictator is what I recommend to newer players.

I don't think boxer is an easy character to link (i.e. hard to link uppercut->c.lp->c.lk->headbutt) as a beginner. Actually, most charge characters have that sort of an issue. I'd recommend playing as any shoto (ryu/ken/sagat/etc.). The controls are a bit easier to learn.

Very fun character, but probably requires a decent amount of execution. Perhaps, a slight less difficult in execution than Sakura. His BnB reminds me of Ryu's cr. MP x2, cr. RH. Basically, you need to plink pretty decently to get it down. But I think he can be played without his BnB. His custom combo (MP, HP, b HP) to turn on Genei Jin is just button mash easy. lol

Hard not to agree. I main Marvel-2 (and now slowly switching to Marvel 3, played it a grand total of 4 times including tournaments. Marvel-3 is easy to get into relatively lol) Back in the day, people body you with top-tiers, someone cries about it and runs to the top-tier, they still get bodied. even better if you switch to low-tiers and still body them. Level.Up.Your.Game. Basically: Pick a character you enjoy playing as, whether it be by character design, tier, or character playstyle then just simply level up your game.
