Genei Jin combos:
Off of a mp, fp, b.fp:
• In corner: (palm, palm, fp lunge). End with cl.mk HJC fp after the lunge
• Out of corner: (mp lunge, f.mk, f.mk) until corner, then do the other combo
Off a lp shoulder, activate:
• In corner: st.rh, fp lunge, (palm, palm, fp lunge). End with cl.mk HJC fp after the lunge
• Out of corner: st.rh, (mp lunge, palm) until corner. Then do the other combo
Mixups:
After a HK dragon kick:
• Do a nj. lk dive safe jump, delay tech with cr.lk cr.jab cr.strong
• j.lk dive to cross up and combo with a c.jab after
• nj.mk dive to not crossup or nj.lk at its peak
• fierce palm punishes normals and short backdashes. Trades with 3f reversals.
• Jab palm into dash command throw
After an air to air fierce:
• Do an early lp shoulder tackle to cross them up. You can combo a cr.strong after.
• A slightly later lp shoulder will not cross up. Not sure if you can combo a cr.strong after right now.
• After a nj.fierce an ex shoulder tackle will cross up. Not sure if you can get a lp lunge after.
After a blocked ex lunge punch:
• Throw
• cr.jab into a full combo
• Begin dive kick pressure
• Ex dragon kicks. Decent option because it’s guaranteed, they either have to block it or eat it. Good for ending the round.
After/during block strings:
• At any point during cr.strong, cr.strong, st.strong you can insert an ex command grab and it’ll hit. Not after it though.
• Cr.strong, cr.strong, st.strong, lp palm, ex command grab works
• Same is true with a cr.short cr.jab st.jab st.strong
After/during Genei Jin combos:
• End/insert a cl.forward HJC dive kick. MK dive will land you in front while HK dive puts you behind them. Both will reset them allowing you to get some unscaled hits in.
• If you end a genei jin combo with f.MK, you can juggle a full animation U1. Try to reset during the combo to get more damage off the U1. (saw in video, haven’t landed yet)
• End/insert a cl.forward HJC jp.fierce. Then go for the after air to air fierce stuff.
Random Notes:
• U1 leads into a fp lunge
• You can FADC mp and hp shoulder and land U1
• mp/hp shoulder leads to U1 in the corner
• HP shoulder leads to lp lunge everywhere
• MP shoulder leads to lp lunge in the corner
• EX lunge leads to U1/lp lunge everywhere
• U2 goes through fireballs
U1 after command grab:
Lk dp: sakura, ibuki, makoto
3 or 4 frame step forward, st.lp, lk dp: akuma, yun, yang

If you buy a stick for PC make sure you get a 360 stick. PS3 sticks don't work on 64 bit windows vista/7 and you'd have to buy a 10 dollar piece of hardware (assuming you play on a desktop not laptop, if you have a laptop you're screwed).
I learned this the hard way.

If you're going to get a 360 stick, try to get the Tournament Edition. It's much better than the standard stick (unless you mod it with sanwa parts, which is what I did). There's Horis and other sticks I'm not familiar with, so you could give those a look too.
And yeah, microsoft controllers work really well w/ pc games

sorry for the noob question guys but the last street fighter i bought is sf4 i think you guys are calling it vanilla. Can i upgrade that game to AE or do i have to dl ssf4 then get the update pack? some help would be nice thanks

I'm pretty sure only super has the $15 upgrade to AE, since the downloadable update is basically just super + 4 characters.
You'll have to either dl ssf4 first, or wait til the end of the month when they release the disc copy (for $40, if I remember right)

You can dl SSF4 if you buy it on games on demand or something like that. Either way you have to pay for Super.

My ps3 stick works on 64-bit windows, but I would recommend buying a 360 stick because its more convenient to dual mod.

I have been trying out Yun in the lab, and my God, the kid is so sick. The list above is very comprehensive. I'll add these few
Off a cr.strong:
• cr.strong, st.strong, st. hp, b. hp, genei jin (easiest way to land it imo)
same above applies to command grab
Genei Jin in this game is like A-ism custom combo in CVS2. You can end it with U1 easily in the corner as long the juggle is high enough and you are below. Best way is to end with lp lunge/shoulder and U1. It is not full animation though, but nonetheless cool as hell.

Same here, have a hori pro, forgot the rest of the name. works on my laptop too.
Since I got nothing else to say, I'll say this. I hate yun's ex dash punch, in a good way.

The only PS3 sticks that have problems are the Madcatz ones. All Hori sticks work on PC.
@broz0rs, I'll add that in a bit too lazy to edit right now haha.
About U1 during Genei Jin. It's possible for you to just activate and then U1 right away. If you plan to use your ultra during gj, throw it out right at the start so it hits before any damage scaling wrecks the amount of damage it deals. You can follow up with f.mk for sure. I haven't tried following up with just raw lunge yet but that might work as well.
Some general notes about Genei Jin, in 3s you could just throw gj out and land damage off its strong mixup game. However in AE it doesn't seem possible or even feasible to use it in the same way. With those points in mind, for now, I think you should only combo into gj.
To really use gj effectively you need to know how to get them into the corner with the least amount of moves hitting them. What that means is you need to be able to change your combo on the fly which is why I don't really want to post up combos because it changes based on where you are on the screen and how far you are from the corner. Some ways to get them into the corner are *launch (either from the b.fp in the target combo or comboing a st.rh), mp lunge, f.mkx2, and repeat or mp lunge, palm, repeat. You also need to know when to switch it up into the corner combo. A super easy one that works on almost everyone is to just fp lunge, palm palm, repeat. That should get you guys started on using GJ. Don't worry about it and just go for it. You'll get the hang of it really quickly.
Oh and if you're wondering why I'm posting all my Yun stuff here it's two folds.
1. Most of it is on the Yun forums already but scattered across the threads.
2. I don't like the character boards.

that's weird. i got a laptop win7 and my ps3 TE is literally plug and play O_o. what stick are u using?
also all da bad players must've come back online with AE out. i've been winning on ranked just a lil too much :D (although its nice to open up a custom match and see 10-14 different players waiting for a match again)

Its a Madcatz stick, it depends on your chipset apparently, if you have a certain chipset then it'll work but most newer chipsets have this weirdass issue. It sucks cuz i gotta play in keyboard until i can mail mys tick over to a friend, who's gonna dualmod his 360 stick, then he's gonna give me his 360 chip and his old spare sanwa parts and make mine essentially into a 360 TE stick lol.

lol my favorite Genei Jin combo so far is (corner) RH x 3, f. FP x 2, FP Shoulder, repeat.
Personally, the most surprising thing about Yun is that his BnB is close to 300 damage and has so much range. It's so much easier to pull off his combo than a Cammy or Sakura.
