So jealous of every J-Custom owner. I'm happy with what I've got though.
Left to right: Ibanez RG7321, RG770dx, RG1570
Yeah...I'm an Ibanez fan. I think part of the reason why they're topping the list is just down to the neck. They just feel so good compared to other brands around the same price range. That's what I think anyway.

I play a fender squier strat. But anyway, anyone else pissed off at how some of the guitar tabs on, for example, ultimate-guitar are blocked because of copyright now? its so sad, its not like the music industry would be losing a penny because theres tabs of a song in the web. or am i wrong? I haven't seen really any tabs blocked on ultimate guitar at least. What kind of music were you looking up? Maybe its because I only look up tabs for classic rock xD

I, sir, envy you. That thing has always been the guitar of my dreams - I hope you're happy with it!
Now for my equipment:
Here's my guitar - one of the guitars I've always wanted to have, couldn't be happier with it: ->
Yeah, it's a left-handed guitar, cause I am a left-handed player. Not so nice though, as I am quite limited in terms of guitars I can use.
Here's my amp, and once again: I couldn't be happier with it. Awesome tone and reasonable price. ->
I play mostly Metal and Solo pieces for electric guitar. Some examples are: Vinnie Moore - Rain Jason Becker - Altitudes John Petrucci - Glasgow Kiss ( Oh I had to practice a lot for these, especially the last two..)
I did also start a Fusion Jazz Project with a friend of mine (He's playing the piano), we already recorded two songs, now we just need to add Drums, Bass and maybe some Trumpets to make Day[9] happy. I also learned composing, I play the piano, bass and some drums (mostly self-taught).
So, If you'd like to talk about guitars/music etc., just PM me here, and if you live in Bavaria and are interested in jamming, you can contact me, too.
Greets, Ozz.
PS: Does anyone here know where I can buy a left-handed 7-string guitar (preferably below 1000€)?
|
6-String OLP John Petrucci Music Man
Recently added a 3rd spring into the bridge, has almost completely fixed the constant detuning I have been getting, and is finally allowing me to use my trem arm.
7-String Ibanez RG7321
Really smooth action on this guitar, such a joy to play!
Marshall MG100DFX
Zoom G9.2TT Guitar Effects Console
Insane amount of sounds comes from this console, really expressive.
Have a couple of other guitars including an Aria 6-String, currently tuned down to C. Also have a Strat copy sitting behind a chair requiring soldering and a new paint job.

some nice guitars up in here.
serious lack of parkers though
this is my parker fly mojo picked it up 6 months ago and i love it. I play mostly blues and metal.

4-5 years lefthanded guitarplayer here. This is my first guitar. A cheap copy of a stratocaster restrung for lefthanded use. Eventually ended up giving this away to my cousin.
This is my second guitar. Schecter Omen 6 Extreme Lefty. U can't see it that good but its red striped dimensional. I can recommend this guitar to anyone. This guitar is frickin awesome. Schecter usually have a great selection of lefty guitars.
This is my latest guitar, ESP LTD Alexi Laiho 200, bought it 3~ months ago. I love this guitar.... really.... It's sooooo easy to play scales on this baby. Its got a modified floyd rose pickup and only 1 mic (EMG). I use this guitar for performances, it's hard to practice on it cuz you can't really sit comfortably with it and play. You can also see my lefty steel western guitar right there I am also very handsome in my karate-pants!

My pimpin' guitar (not my actual just the same model)
+ Show Spoiler + Fender 50th Anniversary Strat, I fell in love with this guitar the first time I saw it.

Im really impressed with the wide variety of guitars shown here. or is just anybody who doesnt have a fancy and/or glittering guitar not posting?

Another Ibanez User here. Have the RG2EX and I love it. I love the comfort the neck gives compared to other guitars I've tried.

What if I don't like it at all? It's neither awesome or meh. And my favorite brand is "wal-mart" brand.

How often do you guys change your strings? I've been using the same strings for like a year and they still sound good (to me at least). Although I probably have a pretty insensitive ear.

any thoughts on new fender pawn shop models?
here's my stuff cheapo squier but i like it! also have an epiphone dot, some epi model SG, and a squier tele semi-hollow looks cute but WAYYYY too loud for the apartment, even on 7 watts (for my apartment) sounds better to me than more expensive martins and taylors. imo gibson acoustics are shit, pure shit. this is nice and warm.
i change my strings when they break lol, which is often
i am most into "indie" tone i suppose though i'm starting to get more into electropop and shoegaze...might have to consider a jaguar for my next purchase

its actually a pretty easy song there are just a lot of parts to it thats sort of what makes it difficult. most people just figure out the intro cause it sounds real nice aned thne the rest of the song is pretty damn easy, that solo at the end is pretty fast but its really simple.

u have some tight shit, i wish i would have bought the orange amp instead of the fender deville that i did, they were about the same price. my telecaster looks a lot like that squier one but mine was built in USA and its just fender.

I'm currently thinking of getting an Epiphone Les Paul Custom with Alpine White finish.
+ Show Spoiler +
Any thoughts on the guitar itself or the finish? Anybody got experience with it?
I'm playing guitar on and off for 4 years and currently own an Ibanez Destroyer DTX-120 with custom Seymour Duncan pickups, which I love to play dearly.

well it depends entirely on the kind of music you play and your budget. But epiphone is a good brand at that price range. And les paul's are generally pretty decent for alot of music styles.

That favourite brand poll needs a Rickenbacker option imoimo.
Awesome thread. I have a Gibson guitar and an Ibanez combo amp. My favourite guitarist hands down is Jack White. Not really technically good, but he has the groove like almost no other and he is SOOO creative with power chords and the simplest of techniques.

I think you should get it. Epihone makes really solid Les Pauls, at least from my experience, and that finish is just sexy as hell. You need to keep in mind that this guitar will feel drastically different from your Ibanez destroyer, so you might want to play around with it in the store before you buy it. I still think this guitar is profoundly sexy, and that Epiphone is really underrated in general when thinking about Les Pauls.
