Hey guys,
I have recently been uploading a lot of casts to my youtube channel (trying to break into the scene, ya know?). but as of Friday, the upload button on youtube doesn't do anything.
Here is the problem:
*I go to http://www.youtube.com/my_videos_upload and click 'upload'
*Then the the browsing window comes up and I select the video I want to upload.
then...
*nothing. I'm just greeted with the exact same screen as I was in step one.
What should my course of action be? I've googled the hell out of this topic and no results help me out.
Any suggestions?

Disable extensions? Clear cache? Try a different browser?

I've tried it in Incognito mode, just tried it after clearing cache, and have tried it in IE (gross), firefox, and chrome.

If it's happening cross-browser, most likely culprit lies with an anti-virus/firewall process that happens to be running. Are you running any such thing?

I'm running avg just in the background as per normal. I'll try disabling this and let you know the results!
edit: disabled all the components of AVG and still the same issue. It's weird cause things were working fine on Friday (with the exact same computer setup), so I'm just wondering what i changed...cause obviously it's not Youtube lol

Might be a silly suggestion, but have you restarted at all since noticing that you can't upload?

Not a silly suggestion by any means! I have, however. That was one of the first things that I figured to do. Also shut down the computer for a spell today because of tornado warning/thunderstorms/power outages.

I had the same problem. To "fix" it I went through the same steps you did, then just left that tab open. Opened my video manager in a separate tab and the video showed up as "processing." It basically uploaded as normal after that.
Just leave the original tab that you used to select the file to upload open the entire time.

I'm currently having the same problem, ive tried restarting my system, didnt work.
So I tried uploading from my laptop to test to see if its my computer and it didn't work on my laptop either, I just click upload select my file and nothing happens. I know if you keep the upload tab open and go to video manager that it does upload but that doesn't change the fact that youtube clearly needs sorting out

that's why i registered here just to be in touch with you to find some solutions for this annoying problem!
I have exactly the same problem! whenever I press on the upload button it just do nothing and doesn't show me the upload progress.... i tried to do everything! restart the PC, shtudown, clear cache, cookies and all histotry! tried firefox, chrome, and IE9.... i'm using the same old Anti-virus and firewall as usual! so what is the problem?!!! and how can i fix it!!!

Yeah it seems as if youtube clearly needs sorting out, but I have just been leaving the tab open and just checking the video management screen from a different tab. It iwll read "processing" until it is complete. So yeah, youtube is just dropping the ball here, both with the fact that this bug exists and how they are dealing with telling their users.

Guys I found the solution, at least for me.
I pressed the upload button and nothing happened, even after restarting and waiting a day.
But then i disabled all the extensions on google chrome and then it worked.
