This is going to be one of those crazy posts so bare with me. A few of us from the old tQ team are thinking about the feasibility/possibility of launching a non-profit, fan made BW animated web series, and we’re looking for more core creative team to get it off the ground.
We’re aiming for an episodic, continuity driven series based on the actual SC books/campaigns (maybe even one that weaves classic BW meta and iconic maps directly into the storyline and lore). To start lean, our immediate goal is to produce a 2 to 3 minute pilot to lock in our art style (e.g., hyper realistic 3D, cartoon anime, etc.) and give the community a polished proof of concept.
Ideally we'd love to have anyone with experience in animation/art, storyboard, writing, etc. to help put the pilot together.
This is a strict passion project (100% free and unofficial under Blizzard’s rules), but we may have 2-3 people providing small seed funds specifically to pay the core art team for the pilot. Because they are helping get this off the ground financially, these initial funders will have collaborative input on the project's direction alongside the core team. We are also open to speaking with anyone else who wants to chip in to expand the pilot's budget and participate in design.
