after DRG made that HUGE mistake, MMA just showed what he is made from and all that denying just won him the game Because that wasnt a mistake, that was getting outplayed. Who saw the vikings move over to the Gold? Turret placement? Perfect. Just enough Marines left at the Gold, WHILE dropping on the 5th expo, WHILE repositioning tanks for the Baneling counter. MMA showed the sickest multitasking I have ever seen. Once the Gold was defended and the tank got that Infestor, it was over. yeah, a FPS VOD of this game would be insane. PLESE GOM, START DOING FPS VODS. (or live FPS like in broodwar)

I swear during every GSTL game where MMA gets behind, Boxer's voice comes into his head and starts cheering for him to the point where MMA just overloads with inspiration and goes into absolute psycho boss mode on his opponent. That guy has mind-blowing multi-tasking and decision making when he is in the zone.

I need to start boycotting GSL and just buy GSTL. Cheaper and better.

DRG bet it all on his amazing build and sick sick macro skills, but MMA on the other hand outplayed him in every other aspect whether its micro, positioning, timing, multitasking and decision making, was all superior to DRG

His out-of-this-world snipe took out MVP's second best player and then he destroyed Violet, one of MVP's Code S players. If he didn't show up, MVP probably rolls over them if MMA can't win a few in a row.
Yeah, this was very well spotted. Frozen's wins were soooo crucial today.
I wouldn't say he destroyed Violet though, but unlike Violet he took his chance and won.

Maybe, but people like Rain will disappear from the scene in the next 6 months. that's what people said 6 months ago. hm And the landscape of players has totally changed since than,Rain has gone from being 2nd in the GSL finals to loosing in 1st round every GSL since and bearly holding on to code S and soon to fall out of it completely when the next influx of Sc 1 pros comes in. Keep telling yourself that. Haters gonna hate. I dont need to tell myself anything.I'm just arguing that Rain is not a good solid Code S player and he will get purged from there because there are simply better players, especially terrans better than him right now.

Don't forget his analytical thinking which not only let him assess his own situation (gold is the most important thing to hold right now, my army is smaller than his) properly but also think ahead of how he could turn his disadvantage in food to an evened situation if not even advantage by leaving just enough defense for the gold to go ahead and drop his main army up to DRGs 5th, resulting in DRG instantly counter-attacking the Gold and losing a good lot of his army to it

Fucking amazing game...
I felt like I was watching a close, well-played BW match. SC2 is really starting to mature and come into its own.
5 Stars...

I wonder if DRG got nervous or was affected by his keyboard problems. I think DRG easily had the game in the bag had he been more aggressive when he had a huge supply lead in order to all-out deny the third base OR harass actively with his muta flock OR get hive units out much sooner. He kinda just fell apart after maxing out.
MMA showed his experience over DRG, why is why he is such a great Ace already. =)

DRG macro is so insane, he maxed in a blink of an eye. I suggest everyone to check the replay from his interview to see how insane his macro is.

DRG had that game but could just not finish it up, he was so far ahead and then just threw it all away. Not to take away from MMA though, he capitalized on DRG mistakes and was able to pull it back from the brink of defeat.

Every terran knows that in late game on maps where there's a gold in the attack path (XNC) that PF+turrets+tanks on the gold is the ultimate goal...

epic match nobody is a loser

Poor Day9 who went to see the OSL, which was good but not great (especially Mind vs Hydra) and missed this amazing, amazing match.

His macro early-game when he was untouched was great, but lategame he had nothing going on when he was getting harassed.

5 Stars... Indeed. Most SC2 games really don't showcase good multitasking and just often come down to one or two big battles, but MMA's dropship play was awesome that game. A little reminiscent of BW TvZ with shit happening all over the map.
