Well it's been a month since I got the car and I finally got around to washing it and getting some pictures of it taken at a weekly car meet last week (going again today) and damn there were so crazy sicc cars there (they posted the album from that week here).
Should be fun, can't wait to get some mods on it, and it eats gas and oil like crazy ... oh and I need to get a new plate that either says "KORE" or "SCMKORE" if the first one is taken.
All in all I'm happy with my purchase and hopefully no more tickets. Anyone have suggestions on good radar detectors? I've been looking at the Escort and Beltronics models and I'm leaning towards the Escort 9500IX because of the traffic light camera sensor and the ability to figure out which lasers are from things like other radar detectors and things like that but I'm still iffy on what to get. I figure the detector will pay for itself since it's around $500 and that is about 2 speeding tickets lol

Dont drive too fast. You are young and inexperienced driver. Safety first!

Baller car :O What does the M in SCMKORE?
And yes, errr safety first!

How?
1. Just go very slow and tell everyone that you've been lapping them. 2. By going slow, you can have everyone admire your car.

edit: btw saying a radar detector pays for itself because cost = 2 speeding tickets isn't taking into account the effective cost of increased risk.

Nope, knew it would eat gas, I'm more surprised by how much gas prices went up by, and about the radar detector I was just being casual because I've gotten a bunch of tickets in the past.

that is a really cool car, congrats!

Wow one of my best friends just got the identical car like a week ago, same colour and everything. We also live in Saskatchewan to, not that far away.

Remember to remove your detector if you go to any province other than BC, Sask, and Alberta. As they are only legal in those three provinces. (It doesn't matter if it's disconnected from the car or not, it will be confiscated, and you will be fined.)

You know what? This will decimate all, after, you put about fifteen grand in it or more. If you have to, overnight parts from Japan.

Nice, 2009 or 2010? Cool that you are a RX8 owner :D

Really nice purchase, stay safe and buy good tires so u can really enjoy the driving nirvana that is the rx8 experience

Sick man.
Make sure you keep those tires in top form.

Radar detectors so you can drive faster than what the law says.
Pro tip: If you get plastic bags and solvent you can get away with murder too probably.
But that's a nice looking car as far as cars go.

Just to let you know I got your home address, car VIN, and work history info. Because you posted your license plate number. Might want to edit it out.
Nice car, Edwin.

Escort 9500ix = solid also there are additional radar/laser blocks you can install with it. (purchasable from the states) if you put it on a hidden switch you're pretty well protected from everything.
I can send you to a buddy of mine in Calgs if you're interested.
let me know.
