he said hf in the chat, and why is it such bad manner to not say hf? He said hf in every other match, im sure thorzain understood that he wanted to keep his mind on the game entirely, why do people really try to push the issue. I do not find a fault at chill or nani, nani does have a right to say what he wants, its a match for 15,000 dollars, its his life, its his career right now in progaming.
and to people stating the the timeout didnt affect or did affect the players, I'm sure if a player came in here they would both say in one way or another it affected them. Do any of you even watch pro sports? Watch some NBA right now, its on, coaches constantly take time outs, it helps sway momentum and calm down players, they even have 20 second timeouts in the NBA, I'm sure it affected both players equally but we will never know if one player had a direct advantage or not unless they came out and said so.
Why keep beating a dead horse on these issues, its over with, thorzain is the champ and its well deserved, it was the best tournament I have ever witnessed in starcrafts history. I'm sure its up there with other top tournaments played.

Great games, I'm just disappointed that Naniwa wanted so much to end this series by doing some agressiv timing (4 gate, blink, 6gate, all fail except one). He should have continue to play defensiv, he is so good at that with his colossi.

I'd be pretty pissed too if I was playing the final match of an important game and having lag issues.

I can understand he's devastated but his reaction to the pause and not going to the after party were both pretty childish. Oh well at least he's passionate. I honestly am so miserable to see how shortsighted people are. Let me explain the situation Naniwa is in: -He has being riding a huge wave of victories, losing almost no BoX sets over the last few months -You're flown into a country he said he wasn't really into -You are 3-1, you only need ONE more game to seal the deal but the TSL curse/destiny (as Kennigit coined it a few pages earlier) and you lose it barely in 3 games running straight -After all of this, after losing $8000 (15k-7k from what i recall) you are asked to go out to a bar with the victor (even though they are somewhat friends) and talk to people who will only want to talk about that night and not let you forget it for a moment that you may have fucked up. Now think about what you and other said. Sorry I am not antisocial so these excuses fall short in my opinion. He might have calmed down the bm, but he is still a sore loser. So in a match between equally skilled opponents I am happy that the person with the greater personality took the victory. Let NaniWa live his life the way he wants and you can do the same. When did I try to change the way he lives his life? You pass judgment on NaniWa for handling a situation in a certain way. But when it comes to give your argument on how to handle said situation better - you have none. In fact - you have no opinion on the matter at all. Until you get some integrity you shouldn't talk about NaniWa the way you do

was such an epic tounament. You guys did a awesome job.GG Thorzain! Cant wait for TSL 4

Great production value !!!! Great series!!! and amazing play by thorzain! And I would like to be able to see the final interview plz
|
I preferred solo Day9 anyways
|
Was really a great final, thought naniwa had it when he attacked the expo in #7. Really, really great tournament with some epic games before the finals aswell. I remember Thorzain vs MC with great ghost usage, naniwa vs goody @ shakuras, thorzain kas with action all over the map..
Great, great tournament. Loved it! Good job at everyone involved.

Only just managed to watch it all, it was an amazing series, great story, great skill, a little drama and a lot of amazing comebacks and moments that make you switch your allegiance every minute
Very well casted by Day9 and Chill also, unfortunate about the last game

I just wanted to add for the record that Day showed HOW FUCKING GREAT he is when he was alone, giving us a flow of words to help us going through the last game, such an amazing caster.

I agree, its sad that people take Naniwas passion as BM because of his history. He has been very well mannered atleast on streams/games (not sure about the in person socially awkward part).

I personally love to go out with friends and have a drink, but in that moment I would go home and just sit down alone and be fucking angry, sad and dissapointed at myself.
Now stop being a total twat and realize that there are people who care about competing, therefore we got angry when we lose. We dont go out and get drunk and be reminded for the entire night about your failure. Get real son. The competition is over, calm down with the rage. There's no reason Naniwa wouldn't enjoy himself regardless of win or loss Mr. competitive player.
Nah dude, that's too much to ask from any adult pro athlete -- ever watch tennis??--, nevermind a youngster gamer like Naniwa.. one thing is for the loser to congratulate the winner and pay his respects in whichever way the organizers deem suitable... but to ask him to go to an after-party is absurd.. I don't think anyone would feel in the mood to party after such a devastating loss, I don't think too many people here have experienced this situation either.
