Congratz 2 thorzain this was the most epic final in all SC2 .The last game was Naniwa s 2 lose not taking nothing from Thorzain but you could see how much on the edge was nani from how was he acting in the lag issue.
All in all great tournament i hope this will mean that the next tsl will be even more epic good job TL!!

I honestly am so miserable to see how shortsighted people are. Let me explain the situation Naniwa is in:
-He has being riding a huge wave of victories, losing almost no BoX sets over the last few months
-You're flown into a country he said he wasn't really into
-You are 3-1, you only need ONE more game to seal the deal but the TSL curse/destiny (as Kennigit coined it a few pages earlier) and you lose it barely in 3 games running straight
-After all of this, after losing $8000 (15k-7k from what i recall) you are asked to go out to a bar with the victor (even though they are somewhat friends) and talk to people who will only want to talk about that night and not let you forget it for a moment that you may have fucked up.

Now think about what you and other said.

Sorry I am not antisocial so these excuses fall short in my opinion. He might have calmed down the bm, but he is still a sore loser. So in a match between equally skilled opponents I am happy that the person with the greater personality took the victory.

That was sheer awesomeness. I'm glad a Bo7 finals had every single game being a pleasure to watch. I was cheering for Naniwa from the start, but somewhere along the line I started rooting for ThorZain. Not sure how that worked, but I'm glad it happened. ^^

It's too bad only the games are on the vods, didn't notice any interviews, and don't feel like skimming 8000 posts to find what people are talking about. (bm from naniwa? lol)

Clearly some of the best and most intense SC2 played to date. Big congrats to TL for running the tournament, the amount of good games/series it produced is incredible.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the finalists do in months to come. No doubt they will continue to tear it up.

How is it even possible that some people don't understand if Naniwa din't feel like partying after losing probably the biggest game of SC2 in his career in pretty much the worst way possible? Give him a fucking break.

You talk as if personality was a trait one could accumulate. It's not. It differs from person to person and it's unique, that's what makes it personal. Let NaniWa live his life the way he wants and you can do the same. He's made it to the TSL finals - I think that proves his assertiveness and character PLENTY.

Last night was my first time watch high-level SC2 since the beta tournaments and it was amazing. Big thanks to the TL staff for making it happen, Day9 & Chill for commentating and the two players for putting up a great fight.

OMG, i just watched replays of those games.... they were fantastic..... this is the best series i've ever seen. watching 1st game all-in into counter all-in, perfect execution from thorzain. then 2nd and 3rd game amazing macro games, with smart moves by naniwa pulling ahead in the 3rd game. then into 4th game with that fabulous 4gate blink micro..... i was so nervous to see the seige mode completing, but naniwa just hit the perfect timing, killing all the bunkers and so many scvs b4 seige mode can stop him. just perfect perfect play, the most entertaining 4gate all-in i've ever seen, as i hate watching 4gate. but that was just amazing.....game 5 was good too.... while game 6, i have no idea how did thorzain hold off that 6 gate push. it always seems that he doesnt have enough units to hold it off, in addition to those perfect force fields, then suddenly he breaks the push, that was just SICK..... Game 7 is another amazing amazing long macro game, thorzain with sick sick emps, nullifying so many sentries, overpowering naniwa's army with a smaller army on his own. but what i cant understand about game 7 is y no twilight council by naniwa?? y no charge when he has so many zealots?? anyway, it was a good fight from both of them. EPIC EPIC FINALS......

A sore loser wouldn't congratulate the winner in private, as someone (Blasterion? Don't feel like paging back, or checking the after party thread) said Thorzain himself said. He just wanted to deal with his loss in private.

I think Naniwa is just disappointed with himself tbh. Also it's not that strange for losers to not party after they lose. I'm sure some people would, but far from everyone.

What an intense series and a huge win by Thorzain. I was on the edge of my seat the entire match, and when Thorzain held off that 6gate in game 6 my housemates were probably wondering wtf all the shouting was about. Best match I've seen yet in SC2.

Couldn't catch the finals live (was 4am in my neck of the woods) but I watched the entire series via VODs (props to TL for the prompt uploading of those) and it definately delivered. Great play in all seven games.
Game 7 I thought Nani could have taken it earlier on if he went for Blink. I think the lack of progression in tech+upgrades cost him the game though.

And I can understand why Nani wouldn't be in the mood to attend the afterparty, but I hope he manages to cheer up and have some fun. Second place is nothing to scoff at when you see all the other players who have participated in this TSL, and I hope he comes away from the whole experience with positive memories.

I believe it is also due to how the series went. Naniwa should have won this - but unfortunately he messed up and I bet this is the way he felt. He all-ined two times, forced the coinflip and Thorzain held it off with amazing reaction and defense. In that last game Naniwa was ahead and had Thorzain so close to edge of losing, but he didn'treally capitalize on his contain, didn't get up a third and didn't go for templar tech. He lost that game, rather than Thorzain winning it and I believe that Naniwa sees things similar.

In the end we still have a winner that deserved to win. Thorzain played amazingly well, I believe Naniwa to be better, but Thorzain was the one who just did less mistakes and had more patience. GG, thanks TL.net for this wonderful and entertaining tournament with exceptionally great games!

You dont know what antisocial means.

Regardless if he wants to deal with his loss in private than he should be able to do so without people hounding him about it...

Not being in good mode after losing just show that nani is what we in sweden call "vinnarskalle" (with direct translation "winnerhead"). If you wanna get best at something you have to hate losing, that applies to all sports.
And about the so called "BM" in the final match due to the lag. He had 3-1 in matches, lost it up to 3-3 and there is lag ofcourse he is sensitive for things that affect the game.

Who think the losing team between Manchester united and Barcelona will party with the winning team after the champions league final?

Naniwa wouldn't be Naniwa without a little controversy.

I expect Naniwa to come out in the next MLG with a vengeance. His opponents will be sad I bet.
