Don't post in this thread to say "gay gamers are like everyone else, why do they have a special thread?" It is something that has been posted numerous times, and this isn't the place for that discussion.
For regular posters, don't quote the trolls. |

As you've said yourself, a person's tolerance varies from person to person, so use your own discretion. Also keep in mind that if there is a person who is sensitive about his/her homosexuality, being lambasted for using certain term is not because he is homosexual, but because he/she is sensitive.
Still, one should respect a person's limits and sensitivities as much as possible, so I suppose some things that come to mind that might seem innocuous to some but not to others is labeling bad things as "gay", or implying that homosexuals are sexually promiscuous by the way you word things.
I personally think that the best thing to do is to always clarify what you're saying, to tell someone you honestly meant no offense if you didn't, and for apologizing for overstepping boundaries if you did ^_^.

I'd say if there's any question in your mind, you're better off not saying it. To be honest, I'm not personally offended when people call stuff gay or jokingly call people fags (unless they're, you know, personally attacking me or my friends), but yeah, it definitely differs person to person.
It's not too hard to figure out more clever and higher impact words to use anyway.

Agreed with Softboing. The only word that gets me is faggot. There are just ways to say that word that hit deeper than most, atleast in my experience.
Anything else is just kinda funny... Fudge packer, hershey highway surfer, poofer, etc.. Ha, they make me giggle.

Let's start a new topic... Any cute non sc2 non Nada guys worth mentioning as of late?

I'd say the way this thread is generally phrased is sad but it is a reflection on American society. I hate my fellow men, not simply for their intolerance, but that they make such a trivial thing as personal choice and freedom such a controversial choice that we can't even blow/melt/vaporize each other in a video game without gay being a condemnation.
Shame on us. Shame on us all.

Shame on us. Shame on us all. You might be a bit too serious. It's more about miscommunication.

Actually I feel TL is more about the community around E-sports than E-sport itself. Gay starcraft players are part of this community so its very natural for a thread like this to exist.

TL is about both. But this was posted in the TL community subforum, and since you find gay people in the community, it is absolutely relevant.
