A tip that helped me so much that i learned from gaming at a local LAN center (PC bang). I had heard the much maligned 'oh he's just spamming to show off his apm' and then really found it as a useful warm-up and excellent preparation for when my fingers needed to execute as fast as possible the 5 things my brain wanted them to do every second. This still makes top 10 thing I learned that made my play jump up a league/level.

#366 Abuse the one button army Syndrom as Protoss: drop a force of 4 zealots (+ perhaps a round of warpins) in a Zerg (Enemy?) base. Wait for the enemy army to arive then push into the natural and forcefield the ramp repeatedly to wreak havoc over the enemys natural (or even a third base) while his army is traped in his main. #367 when Templar harrasing with dropships take 2 sentrys with you to forcefield the large exits of the mineral line to force retreating workers to run trough the storm (in an ideal situation the enemy simcityed in a way that he can't retread his workers)

I know I even posted a "this has been said time and time again" post several pages back. It's not a huge deal to post something that's been posted before in a 20-something page thread, but to come back after being told it's been posted, and deny that it has is kind of annoying. Anyways... There are many advantages to having a customizable keyboard. Blizzard's only rule about it is that "one click = one action", making multiple action macros illegal, but not simple changes to what a particular key does. Also, holding down a key (as any Zerg knows) is allowable. Tip: With a programmable keyboard, you can change the functionality of a key to a "left mouse button click". In so doing, you can mouseover the wireframe area, with shift held down, and quickly deselect units from the selection. Holding down the key is much faster than spam clicking with the mouse. As an example, if I want to transfer 12 probes to my new expansion, I can box a group, mouseover the 13th probe and hold down shift + that special key. The excess probes will literally disappear. It's probably also useful in splitting an army quickly to form a concave.

I know this is going to sound like a lot of work, but that list would be much clearer if you had ALL of the tips correctly marked. For example, many of the tips for the races (Terran, Protoss, Zerg) have no indicator. If I only care about Zerg posts, I will skim through for only posts marked with (Z), even though a large number of the tips for Zerg do not have any indicator whatsoever (until you read through them.). Would you mind updating it when you have a chance? That would be so helpful. Also, a large number of the tips are general tips on how to beat a certain race. Could you mark those with (XvP) (for versus Protoss), (XvZ) (for versus Zerg), and (XvT) (for versus Terran). That would also be great to know, so you could find what strategies are effective against your race and come up with a counter strategy. The list itself has some fantastic tips, but reading it is difficult. One more thing - you have some inconsistent formatting. I'm thinking of pulling this in with a script for easy reading, but right now I'd have to do a lot of it manually since the formatting is too inconsistent to be reliably parsed with a script/program. If you could fix it, that would be AWESOME.

372. A burrowed baneling retains its original sight radius when burrowed making it the most effective burrowed scout for zerg. All other unit types (including the roach) suffer a severe sight penalty when burrowed.

I just mapped my right mouse button to a fast repeating key on my keyboard, and had a great time scurrying my lings around the place. It did feel a little cheat-y though, as previously I would have been furiously clicking away with my mouse, and it seem like that will make my life much lazier (not complaining!). edit: I've done a search to try and clarify this, and can find quite a few posts about how multi button macros are banned, but none about repeating mouse clicks on a key.

Honestly, I just kinda thought of it last night. I can only assume it's ok because they do allow, and even endorse the holding down of keys for rapid repeated action. I know we're allowed to use customizable keyboards, as they've come out and said as long as it's "one click = one action", it's ok. So, customizing a keyboard to have a key as a mouse click should be ok. Certainly at least until they tell us it's not. I tried the right click part in a game against the computer. It was fun and quick, but I ended up screwing up my rallies, stopping my probes from mining by accident, it was a disaster lol. But I like the rapid deselection from wireframes.

The bolded part isn't true. The stun prevents the second 250mm cannon from ever being cast.

The banshee kills a queen with a fair amount of hit-points left. The queen can get a few hits off and the banshee will still win. Go test it out and you'll see.
