You put some torps, some tps, some webs and 5bcus on a raven, mix in some drones - BAM - easy 1700 dps. Lets not get started on how op rohks are. You get scramed by one of those you're pretty much dead. And Beagles are so underrated with antimatter you get up to 7km optimal with blasters, if that doesn't float your boat you're just asking for too much. P.S.: Hellcat abadons do 800dps at 40km while having 160k ehp. fuck amarr AHAHAHAHHA God I lvoe you, you just managed to troll 90% on the people reading this topic without them even noticing. Personnaly you lost me at the 7k optimal beagles, but the fuck amarr was a dead giveaway.

Better tracking than lazer boats and decent damage w/ null out to 30km, if my memory serves me correctly. Now, the full gank is just pure manlyness (XL shield booster + magstabs all the way) but its mostly restricted to station gank roles.

Fortunately, I was in a thrasher, and he was in a pod. http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9514205 ---------------------- I just failbombed eve uni. I chased down their tristan gang, and got only 1 kill, because I approached gate too quickly, and my smartbombs shut off. I jumped out in 2% hull, because I forgot to kill my ECM burst at the same time the smartbombs went off, so I was sitting on the gate aggressed while 20something frigates pounded me. I could have easily gotten another round of smartbombs, which likely would have killed a large number of them, and gotten out at the same time I did, but it was my first time smartbombing a gate, and the incoming dps made me panic and burn back.

Luckily the Cynabal didn't score any initial hits on me before I closed on him, but I knew the drone death was coming. I called that I would have to warp out soon, but KwarK told me that the opportunity for the kill was well worth the suicide (no one else had scram fitted). I generally last between 6 and 10 seconds against Warrior II's when they finally hit the field, and I couldn't just rely on killing them off, because the Cynabal has a big drone bay. Because I was just delaying for time and trying to hold scram for as long as possible, I burned the MWD along with the point - manually kiting the best I could while staying within ~7km for scram. Usually this is a bad idea in normal engagements because being on MWD makes it tougher to align out when you get low on shields (the time you usually want to align out as a MSE Rifter). In addition, it makes it easier for stuff on the fringes of the battle to hit you when you least want to be hit and are most likely to be targeted. But in this case it didn't matter because I wasn't planning on leaving. So instead of lasting 6-10 seconds, I lasted well over a minute and actually didn't even go below 50% shields before the Cynabal popped. Suck on that, Warrior II's. http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9513114 Speed tank best tank.

A neutral Cynabal jumps into Oddel and just sits there oddly. After a few seconds, it starts burning straight towards me (I'm in a Rifter). KwarK, Karah, and Michael are all fleeted up with me, and KwarK is smelling blood and tells me to go for the scram on the Cynabal as soon as it's within range. I have also been trying to stumble through EVE by myself for the last month. My intention was to get to where I could contribute to a corporation before I join. Just got raped by someone in the hachery (he didnt pod me when I said fan of TL at least :D) Needless to say that was not the first time I have been raped, and being on my lonesome its quite a knock to my .... financial situation. Pretty long story short. I will get in contact with the TL person that raped me, and see whether I can join. Thought I'd show my "face" here first.

From my experience, webs are more important than target painters - an Armageddon going full velocity, no speed mods, triple trimarked receives 50% of DPS versus non moving. It's such a big if to have your target moving or not that its honestly not worth flying them if you have a turret ship available. Other problems - if you want a good tank, then you forgo tackle or even a speed boost module. They're very slow in speed and alignment. Torps only hit out to 30km with a maxed skilled Raven - this sounds AWESOME for short range ammo, however other weapon systems (projectiles, lasers) hit out well beyond that, which is often very important when targets are trying to escape or kite. I suggest you jump on sisi and actually shoot some ships with torps under varying circumstances, or if you don't have the skill points use the DPS graph on EFT, putting in smaller ships, or moving ships, so on. These would give you a better idea of what that "1700 DPS" actually means. I do think tachyon Abaddons look pretty good, though god forbid if something gets within 15km and starts orbiting. Definitely more of a medium or greater sized gang ship, or a pretty niche small gang ship. I agree that a combo of webs and target painters is best for missile boats. However if you actually look at the missile damage formula you'll notice that unless your target has higher sig than your missile have explosion radius you'll never do full damage even if the target is sitting still. And if the target is moving then painting it increases the speed your target needs to go for missiles to actually do less damage. Therefore one could argue that painters are more useful, but a max skilled painter only adds 37.5% sig while a t2 web reduces speed by 60% and it's a bit foolish to assume your target isn't gonna move in a fight I'd suggest a combo plate of either 2xtp 1xweb or 2xweb 1xtp(more webs for smaller targets and more tps for more battleships so you can use rage torps on them) and you'll be up at BAM 1700 dps in no time. As for the tachyon abaddons part I think you're understating how amazing beam lasers actually are. Sure the tracking is kinda bad but the sheer destructive power is mindblowing compared to pulses, which quite frankly suck balls Edit: spellingo Edit2: I totally forgot to clarify - The phrase "1700 DPS" actually means "1700(pretty sure 1700 is a number) DamagePerSecond"
