Two void rays kill the drop. Terrible loss. Jinro is hesitating on the attack. Two vikings join the army.

How many does he have to win to be considered "showing skill": If the "abusive builds" doesn't take skill, which you are almost saying, why doesn't other progamers do them and just win the GSL? They don't like money? It's better to lose and have "good" builds rather then have "abusive builds", rank 1 in the world and win GSL:s and $$? Please listen to the SOTG cast. It is clearly Tyler's OPINION. Do not take it as fact or the entire community's view. I do agree with Tyler as well. But I feel like part of the culprit is the fact that mechanics and UI aspects have been 'dumbed' (for lack of a better word) down in SC2. I remember in BW a match between Flash and JD. Flash was attacking several bases and the camera zoomed in on Flash's Barracks. The audience and commentators were all in awe and shock of Flash's multitask and ability to macro (his barracks lights never stopped blinking - insane). Tyler is refering to these instances. When you watch MC, you see powerful builds and strategic decisions, but you don't see the raw skill and talent but, again, I think that's part of the nature of the protoss race and SC2 interface itself.

The game is more level than I had expected after that opening tbh, both guys upgrading well, Jinro probably with enough Vikings out to handle the Colossus threat and is double expanding, he hasn't scouted Anypro's Ninja third though which may come back to bite him

It's nothing but entertainment. What's said holds no actual value beyond that. It's more like everyone bases their opinion or some guy saying what was said instead of what actually was said. If you want to know what Tyler said about MC then go listen to what Tyler said about MC. Don't go read what someone else said he said and go ranting about it. Tyler never said MC was bad or didn't show skill. Let's focus on the games now please. We have Elky... err Jinro fighting here guys!

I don't quite remember what Tyler said in SOTG, but he said something like MC is good at what he does, but his play is one dimensional and there is more to the game than what MC does. I don't see how anyone could disagree with that.
