To me while it a jerk thing to do, I can understand why it would happen. Money, money is why they become progamers and why their sponsors and teams pay for them. Savior's real issue is that he dragged this on and drug people through a lot of crap before the truth came out. I imagine that if Savior had just admitted and apologized he wouldn't have been slammed so hard. I think that if he switches to SC2 that will be a huge second chance for him, and that whatever he does now he has something to prove. Savior needs to restore people's faith in him again, not by winning. I don't even know how he would go about it, charity games or something. He does have a chance to make this all right I think. And he ought to take it, don't be remembered as the match fixing Savior. He needs to go out a Bonjwa, not a criminal. As for the coach, I don't hold this against him, the outrage is natural. And he did apologize for it, he's a human being, forgive him and move on. Savior's real issue was that he waited soooooooooooo long before saying anything. Even after prosecution, he refused to admit to the match fixing. The only thing he said was a small apology, that didn't include admitting to the match fixing.. If he switches to SC2, i imagine that he'll be investigated for many of the losses he encounters because he will always be remembered as a match fixer. It's kind of like once a criminal, always a criminal. There's no way to make up for it. "Savior was worse than child molesters" is a pretty accurate statement if one was part of progaming when savior was still playing. One of the reason's why match fixing is so bad is that if someone had beaten savior during that time, and they look back at it now, they might think "did i really beat him?" and of course there will be no way to answer that question.

Well KT lost Luxury from the match fixing scandal, who was their best Zerg and 2nd or 3rd best player overall at the time. It's not easy to find a Zerg who is good at ZvT in the proscene, I can see why KT coach would be pissed.

Furthermore, the whole "deserving" a second chance/no second chance argumentation is severely flawed imho. No matter what someone has done, they can change. It's up to individual people to forgive or not forgive and there's nothing wrong with either decision. If an ex-criminal(any serious crimes) would apply for a job in my company I probably wouldn't hire him because for me personally the risk involved would be too high. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind someone hiring him if he firmly believes said ex-criminal has changed. What is wrong imho is the approach "Oh Lord, you did X and Y, plague be upon thee! Leave society and never return again!" that many people advocate in this thread. Each and every person will seriously fuck up in life at least once. When that happens to you, and you change from the bottom of your heart, you will want people to forgive you. Some might not, and that's OK. Everyone has different standards for what's unforgivable and what is not. But you certainly wouldn't want someone to completely deny other people from giving you a second chance, would you? The whole concept of condemning someone for the rest of his life seems incredibly stupid to me sometimes... That being said, I really wouldn't mind sAviOr playing professional eSports again at some point if someone is willing to give him the chance. And if he really does stay absolutely clean, there eventually should be a time to forgive and forget.

Back in the days I just played 3v3 bgh. it wasnt till I heard of savior that I started doing 1v1 and playing zerg. I think I liked savior more than starcraft which is probably why I was never good lmao. I dont care that he fixed matches.. But it sucks now because he can never play anymore.. In like 2OO9, I could at least look forward to him playing like once a month and I would be excited that maybe he suddenly became the best again haha. And now that hes never around bw is boring. and effort was my 2nd fav progamer, and now that hes retired i dont even look at results anymore unless im really bored. Ive watched so much bw, I dont understand why the hell anyone cares about what he did. Its HIS life, he doesnt owe any of you ANYTHING. I dont understand why you all think that he does. Maybe its because all the progamers are like "sorry ill try harder" over and over again, which gave you the illusion that they do. Oh and comparing him to a child molester LOLLL coach sounds so stupid lmao

I doubt there's a person here who hasn't said something they instantly regretted out of anger, and yet they can't empathize Jihoon and instead champion someone who cheats at something we love for money. The duality in this thread bothers me, empathy for the wrong person.
