Nothing. Different people like different things. That's why rubber dome keyboards, low profile keyboards, cherry blue switches, cherry brown switches and cherry black switches all suck for gaming and typing and everything else you do with a keyboard.

IBM Model M (1988), the damn thing is older than me but it's so good (and noisy yeah ...)

You know, I love my razer black widow and its clicky mechanical keys despite what they may tell you about razer keyboards. However, I have tried the arctosa and lycosa, and they are not on the same level as my Black Widow at all.
(Hey, its also one of the cheaper high build quality mechanical keyboards on the market)

Is there anyone here using the Zowie Celeritas? How would you say the quality is compared to say, a Filco? Still haven't decided on what I want to get.
|
I got a Zowie Celeritas, the overall quality is really nice. I don't have a Filco to compare it to though. The one problem there is is the key printing. It fades really fast if you use it much. I've had my main keys for Starcraft get "darker" over time. You can still read them ok, but if you look at the num pad for example you can see a difference. Other than that it's by far the best keyboard I've had.

Just got my steelseries 6gv2 in the mail today. I got it for a great deal (50$ !!!) so I guess that makes it sweeter too. but I would definitely recommend this keyboard to anyone.

Does anyone know a stockist of Filco Majestouch (with Browns) or the Zowie Celeritas that can do Next Day shipping to the UK and is in stock?
Keyboardco are out of stock of US layout Filco's (want US cos of larger left shift), and all UK suppliers of Zowie Celeritas are out of stock also (from what I know).
Would take 5-8 days for delivery from Zowie official shop

Honestly, thats the keyboard that every computer in my school uses.
For me, i just game on the keyboard that came with the computer my grandfather bought. It isn't really a gaming keyboard, but it has music controls on it so i can change songs while casting me playing SC2 :3

Razer blackwidow ultimate

After a month of use, gotta recommend the Noppoo Choc Mini (with brown switches) to everyone looking for a mechanical keyboard.
I don't see how there could be a better keyboard, even a Filco would seem worse (though I never used it).
Pros (excluding the switches which are the inherent goodness of all mechanical keyboards): - compact design but normal layout - close F-keys make positional hotkeys a lot easier to use - ctrl/caps-lock switch functionality (although I'm not sure I'll ever get around to using this one) - USB with full n-key rollover
Cons: - keys are impossible to see in the dark (not really a problem if you know to type fast anyways) - you have to order it from Taiwan

edit: Posted about this in other thread just before this, I just though I should put my thoughts on it here since I meant to give my impressions on the keyboard before anyway and that thread reminded me about it.
