If NASL is North American Starcraft League, it will be a bust because they won't be able to advertise it as NASL in the US. Which is kind of huge. I thought you were wrong so I made some research and I think you might in fact be right about that... http://www.trademarkia.com/trademarks-search.aspx?tn=NASL Since some trademark classes would clearly overlap (entertainment, clothing, sporting?), this soccer league could potentially sue the starcraft league. A similar case occurred for the WWF name : http://www.commondreams.org/headlines02/0507-04.htm But the thing about intellectual property is that while it's technically illegal to use a trademarked name, you will not have any trouble until the rightful owner finds out about it and sues you. If the starcraft league hopes to grow big enough to become somewhat mainstream, this could really be a problem. I believe the NASL leaders should really pay attention to this issue and act before its too late.

EG sponsors, and many other big named sponsors. Lastly I'm pretty sure its not HIS per-say he's just been hyping it. So I'm assuming its got something to do with EG/Sponsors that will be helping it along the way. If this is the big announcement, I'm totally excited to see the show of a lifetime!~~

I guess that someone got very interested in the SC2 e-sport scene and wanted to put a lot of money into it, so they just hired big names such as incontrol and gretorp who are in the scenes for centurys to help them out.

The G4 news feed page link thing is interesting. Up until now I was still betting that this thread was completely wrong. But... the "alleged" part makes it sound like it was just written by someone who stumbled on this thread and is equally as clueless. Hm...

Is it too related to video games for G4 to handle? No where to fit in video games between Cops and Ninja Warrior?

Personally i doubt South America will be able to create a Star League. So it would make since that this one would represent america as a whole.
