Its just an acronym, if you want to change the acronym for it change it to something better then ASL or WSL...at least put some creativitiy into it.
Example:
SEX - Starcraft Extreme eXpo
SOGGY - Starcraft Organization for Professional Players of Yesterday
SLUT - Starcraft Ladderers United Tournament
etc.
NASL isn't bad, and it seems like something that if it really takes off, could be easily modified and reproduced for other places. For example, SASL for South American Starcraft League or EUSL for European Union Starcraft League, etc. If NASL is actually standing for North American Starcraft League. It could be anything still since there is no confirmation.

Yes, the 'nasal' complaints have a tone way too whiney and nasal for my taste.
GSL - "G" "S" "L"
OSL - "O" "S" "L"
MSL - "M" "S" "L"
NBA - "N" "B" "A"
It's pretty rare someone pronounces an acronym like a word, come on people.

I tend to pronounce NASL as "nazzle" rather than "nasal" but I can understand why people call it "nasal"
