probably sooner, It would be nice if I could give like 2-3 days for each round. it wont be for at least another week though.

chromate, maybe you should have some backups to fill in if people don't show for their game 32 match. Especially since your events kick ass, there will be alot of people from out of province who fill want to give 1/32 shot at winning 600 bucks (or more, you're a badass) for a free online tourney. If they win, they might not be dedicated enough to show.
Essentially, I guess you could just fill it in with people who finished in the R64 (or even a playoff from top contenders at the LAN?)

Is there a bus route that takes me somewhere close? Whenever I go to Toronto I usually go somewhere downtown.

I signed up and look forward to the online preliminary.

Im suprised at the number of big names that have signed up already O.o should be pretty awesome.
had no idea so many pros/semi pros lived in the toronto area

Hey I hope this goes really well, Toronto deserves more tournies! Is the online portion going to be double elim? I'd recommend that, just incase some of the more dedicated players take each other out in the early rounds.

Working on Saturday sucks.

It's on
Thanks to Chromate again, need people like you since all those mofos prefer hosting tournaments in stupid Calgary.

I'm probably going to get smashed one way or another, but sign me up! :D
It'd be cool to meet some Toronto/GTA area folks.

The 25 Don Mills runs through that plaza, which frequently runs buses so it shouldn't be too hard via transit. I think YRT buses on their way to Don Mills Station run through there too.

does anyone know how to get there using ttc transit from kiping station?

1. Go east to Yonge Station. 2. Transfer to the Yonge-University-Spadina line, go north to Sheppard Station 3. Transfer to the Sheppard Line, go to Don Mills Station. 4. Go to the bus terminal, transfer to the 25 Don Mills; make sure you go to the NORTHBOUND platform. 5. Take the 25 Don Mills to Deerford Road. 6. Cross the street and walk towards the "Peanut Plaza"; should be around there. I don't know precisely where the cafe is but I've passed by the plaza numerous times.

Damnit that is during reading week and I am traveling and wont be back until Sunday. I would have definitely liked to play in this. Glad to see Toronto having an sc2 LAN tho, thats wicked and I will support future LAN's if there are any!

Anyone know if theres gonna be a seeding system in the online qualifiers?
|
I can`t wait!!! The net cafe is sorta in the middle of nowhere but its all good. If anyone needs a ride i`ll be driving (Toronto area) Like you can meet me at finch station and i can drive from there etc.
p.s. Chrome are you doing any type of seeding by ladder points

It could be single elim until round of 32. At least you're sure to play 2 bo3 when you get at the lan

Do you have any idea to prevent this from happening because I would imagine you would want the best players at the lan instead of 20 good ones and 12 people that got lucky during qualifiers.
Also do you have any ideas for prize distribution like a more spread out one such as 5/10/20/40 for 5-8/3-4/2/1 or just like a 50/30/20 for 1/2/3
